There are a few drawbacks to the Shark Detect Pro, like the build quality and debris collection bin. The plastic connection point for the extension arm and roller head felt flimsy, which could crack or break after repeated use / pressure. Additionally, the small collection bin means frequent trips to the base station for emptying. Despite these minor issues, if you are looking for a vacuum with enhanced usability, this is a good choice.

Seems like a decent vacuum especially for getting edge cleaning and for a back up to my other vacuums
Not sure a self emptying manual vacuum makes sense. I would love to see a review of the Bissell AirRam Cordless Vacuum.
I agree, it makes no sense. Emptying a bagless vacuum takes just a few seconds. How is it beneficial to add more materials, more moving parts that can fail, take up more floor space, and add extra cost to the consumer for such a low impact feature?

Really hard to go wrong either way.
Personally, I'd go with the Samsung, mostly because I think it just looks nicer.
Performance wise, both are excellent.
Samsung is horrible with hair tangles.
