The best bakery is in the suburb of Childwall and is called Artisane..genuine French cuisine...there are always queues outside in the mornings for fresh produce

Lunko on Lark Lane is better. Prepare to queue for a while, though. It sometimes has queues around the corner, but it's worth the wait

The city is much more than Albert Dock, Chavasse Park and Castle St. It looks like you didn't even venture up Dale St or into the Baltic Triangle or into Childwall, Toxteth, Anfield, Old Swan, Garston etc.

Jesus Christ mate. Old Swan? It's a dump. Stick to the city centre and maybe has far as Lark Lane and Sefton Park.
I do like Liverpool. It feels like a proper city. It suffered a heck of a lot in the 80s in particular, with the government deciding to destroy it through 'managed decline' (their term) to crush the unions, but it feels like a place on the way back up now.
