    This is brilliant👍 and timely for me because I have just made a commitment to get serious into film again. Developing B&W films should be relatively easy with out a darkroom. Your device eliminates the need for a darkroom, enlarger, photo paper and the wet chemicals to make prints.
    My friend made me see that negatives could be scanned with a flatbed scanner, but I had doubts about resolution. This camera holder with my phone should have way more pixels.
    Very good idea I’m gonna try to make it

    I wonder, if you place de negatives directly over a white screen, as a mobile for instance, you should get the pixels of the screen in your pictures.
    But, I see in your results that you are not getting pixels. How you do to not get the pixels of the screen in your pictures?

    Wow, I still have the original packages the smartphones came with. I wonder whether these could be used even easier.
    How did you decide about the height of box ?

    • @brainyphotographer2474
      @brainyphotographer2474  Před 3 lety +6

      For the height of the box I figured out what the lowest focusing distance of the phone camera was. By putting a ruler 90 degree upright on a flat surface and moving the phone up and down at that ruler until I found the lowest point the camera was still able to focus on the surface. Trying the packaging box sounds like a great idea. I have figured out that the thing works even better by sticking black velvet inside of it to reduce reflections.

    but exposing negetives to the light directly ?
    that will ruin the negetives right ?
    I am confused ... as everyone is saying " open the back lid of the film camera during photoshoot will ruin everything AS BECAUSE OF THE DIRECT LIGHT "
    then how this will work ?

    • @brainyphotographer2474
      @brainyphotographer2474  Před 3 lety +1

      You should not open the back lid of your camera at the middle of your film because it will be ruined by the light. You have to wait until you finish your roll and spool it back into the light proof film container then you could open your camera to replace the film. Your film needs to be developed either by a professional laboratory or yourself you are not allowed to exoplse your film to light until the development process is finished. I have got also a video about how to develop film on my channel. After the development process your film is not longer sensitive to light.

      @@brainyphotographer2474 what if I don't want to give my films to any lab , I just want to scan directly by my phone or a scanner ! Is it possible ( without developing with chemicals )

    • @brainyphotographer2474
      @brainyphotographer2474  Před 3 lety +2

      @@pritambiswas8084 no that's not possible you have to do the chemical process. But if you don't want to mess around with chemicals ask im the lab for development only. Scan the negatives yourself as described in the video.
