Awww sorry. I think I assumed everyone knew how. There are some diagrams on the web that show how step by step if you give it a google.
Great video, I've made a couple of bowties but have always turned through the ends, however I think that I'm definitely changing to your method of turning it on one side. Thanks for the tip!

It depends on the neck measurement you have. I would tie it & see how much extra you have in the back

Straight stitch. I am not sure what you mean by borders?
