Within any art form, there are pioneers and leaders who dedicate their lives to expanding, sharing, and elevating the knowledge of that art. When it comes to North American bonsai, Ben Oki is one of those pioneers. In this piece, we explore Ben’s journey and legacy, and bring one of his trees - an incredible yamadori California juniper - back to its former glory.
