Tour Kohala Hawaii - North Big Island

- This is a tour of the Kohala District on the North side of the Big Island of Hawaii. We start out in Hawi and we explore the beaches to the south including Hapuna and the Polulu Valley to the Northeast.

Thanks for posting. Was there about 3 weeks ago and plan to go again in February. Family from Maui and Kauai but I enjoy hiking, swimming, and driving the Big Island the most! Any food trucks or local grindz you like the best?

I would suggest that Pololu Valley is east from Hawi, not south... anyways, really nice video you put together! we rented a house on the Kohala Ranch lands a few years ago that was 2800 ft above sea level that had great views along the west shore - we could even see Maui at times. and so it was nice to see so many of the places and beaches we visited in your video. Beach 69 is so unique pretty much in all of Hawaii with the way the vegetation grows right down to the water's edge and all the driftwood like dead trees. and yes Waimea has an amazing atmosphere to it!

Farms? I saw a cow ! Why is fresh beef mainly shipped in??(5 day old fresh)
The grass fed beef that is farmed here, a lot of it goes to Asia in particular Japan. Kobe Beef. They rarely sell to the islanders because the quality of the beef is so high. Thats what the butcher/farmer told me.
are citizens allowed to have their own animals? cow,pig,chicken? certain areas of course...
