  • The Mime Company, an independent ensemble consisting of current students, recent alumni and Chicago actors, is an outgrowth of Northwestern Universitys Theatre department and the training of renowned acting teacher and former Northwestern theater professor Bud Beyer.
The company has performed its original productions in the Chicago area and throughout the state of Illinois and toured nationally and internationally. The Mime Company also conducts many short-term and long-term educational residencies in the art of mime for school children of all ages, adults, special education groups, Chicago-area public schools, as well as other educational organizations and theatre workshops.

This video is 9 years old (so I don't really expect a reply) but the bit where she describes the symbolism behind the mime makeup.. Just resonated with me. I know close to nothing about mime theatre but I am so glad I stumbled upon this interpretation almost a decade after it was uploaded.

You have gotten everything backwards. ABout white face and everything else. that is what happens when someone learning half and half calls themselves a mime. It is not your fault.
