  • 'Sarah Everard: How the Case Unfolded'
A London police officer was sentenced to a whole life sentence for the kidnapping, rape and murder of a woman in a case that shocked the nation.
Sarah Everard was tricked by Wayne Couzens into thinking she’d been arrested for breaching Covid rules.
It threw into question the safety of women on the streets of UK cities, and the abilities of the police to protect them into question.

James Foster I think it was just purely a sick twisted desire to harm and kill and that's what he did. Taking another persons life like that and hiring a car specifically to do it is just horrific. The pure terror and helplessness Sarah must have felt realising she was being taken away and unable to defend herself with those handcuffs is just unimaginable. It's so distressing to even think about and it's broken the nation's hearts. My deepest sympathies go out to all her family and friends. The only consolation they have is that that monster is locked up for good.

It's so crazy how we go through our daily lives thinking that things like this will never happen to us, which thankfully it won't for most of us. But seeing the footage of her walk into the shop really hit me at just how real it felt, seeing her alive and just normal in a shop, never knowing the torture she'd go through hours later. It really makes me scared for moments like that in my life when you never know what could be coming. I hope that mad dies the most horrible and painful death possible

And, despite all of their different agendas and perspectives, every single expert, police spokesperson or MP who has discussed this person, all agree about one thing: the clues were all there and he would have been tossed from the police many years ago, had those clues all been in one place, like his record.
So, the only question that remains for us (for those of us who want to prevent other such cases, and uncover any others that may yet be out there?) is what are we going to do about this? Surely it’s vetting and reviewing procedures that need to change?
I would call for single standard of vetting that covers all vocational professions where public trust is an issue? Covering the medical, caring professions, armed services and police services. A benchmark standard that is comprehensive, easy to understand because it’s built on common sense and basic moral principles, and that applies equally to all? Does that seem like a big ask? Because people love acronyms so much, call it Trust and Universal Standards (STU) or something? All professionals have to get their STU Card, before going into policing, nursing, the army, etc? With a points system that could apply, like those on driver’s licences? Too many points and you can no longer serve in trusted professions? But with some categories able to expire over a period of years, so you can reapply and be vetted again, but with other categories staying on your card permanently?
Of course MP’s and senior civil servants wouldn’t be keen on having it apply to them, but they might get on board if it didn’t? ✌️

his m o suggests he's done this before
its frightening to think someone who swore to serve and protect the public
turns out to be an evil bastard
i know i will be annoying the woke snowflakes
but his punishment should be medieval
put him in the stocks in the centre of this young woman's home town
and let nature take its course
a slow lingering end would be right for him
a lot of time to ponder about the pain and suffering he has caused Sarah's family
and no doubt many other women

From what I’ve been told and read, they figured it from a lot of what is shown in this video - the last sighting of Sarah was by the buses external camera as it passed by when Couzens falsely arrested her for “being out during lockdown”. The bus cam caught him approaching her from behind a car with hazards flashing which indicated he might be the driver. The car registration was on camera - the police of course, checked the registration and it was a rental car in his name (smart arse thought he was clever using a rental so he could avoid her DNA in his own car- he had definitely planned the murder). Police found him pretty fast after that.
They were able to trace his paper trail thanks to the fact that during covid, most shops wouldn’t allow the use of cash so they could see his movements and what he purchased by following where he used his bank cards. It only strengthened the case.
If he had NOT been spotted by chance on that bus footage, it’s very likely he may have gotten away with this.

Also they checked his phone and his previous locations, which one of them they found Sarahs body in Hoads Woods, Kent. She was burned in the old fridge and then put in the bag. Left in the pond afterwards. He owned some lands there, that's why he was visiting it with his family.

Heart-breaking and utterly deplorable. How many would feel justice is served if this man was hung drawn and quartered for his crime? Instead he will be looked after for the rest of his life, unless access is accidentally allowed by other prisoners

Right OK. What if the person is entirely innocent ? The families would chuck the compensation right back at you for murdering their relative and people who have been tortured cant be " fixed " with counselling. They are damaged for life
Plus torture has a bad track record , you would confess to being a vampire or worxh or a cat to make it stop

2 things that I find so disturbing. Nr 1 the long drive she had to endure handcuffed at the back and then ending in pitch black darkness in the woods. Him stopping the car putting the hand break on and coming towards her.
Nr2 the thought of him burning her body in the fridge and then coming back to it. He had to reach into the fridge with his hands and when he moved her her remains fell apart. He had to put the burnt pieces of remains in a bag bit by bit. She would not have been completely burnt. I think that would be a difficult thing to do for any normal person.

The police should only be seen in pairs and never alone from now on. Knife crime has gone through the roof along with other assaults and people cannot defend themselves. Most attacked are unable to run away as suggested by authorities. That's just not enough and the public should be able to defend themselves. Make the use of pepper spray legal for registered adults so they can at least have a chance of escape.

The odd aspect is he choose london , when there are many other towns, this makes me think he has done it before, and a big city like london meant he could choose a girl and most likely someone that was not going to be missed, he came all the way to london, london is his hunting ground, he got away with it in london, to the point this kill may have been his dozen, so he became so brazen to the point he made so many mistakes, his thinking was clouded , he burned body, and put it in a puddle next to a stream, took his family to the woods and the dog probally freaked out so they called the vet, strange freak of a man. So many killers return to the murder site to act out a sick fantasy of i am death, i take lives, it isn't nuclear physics 95% of these killers have the same MO
