  • Daniel 2, a very in-depth clarification in detail, respecting the context of the Hebrew culture and the historicity of the Scriptures. In this episode, Tom Bradford will delve into the complexities of dietary laws, as well as how the interpretation of the King's dream, was indeed meant to be understood by Daniel alone.

Your teachings are so much appreciated. When I hear your explanations of the text it’s like a knot has been unknotted. It becomes so clear and the questions and doubts I had are no more. I consider you to be one of the best Biblical teachers of this time. You are one teacher I share with others. Thank you for your devotion to truth. Many blessings always. Ram in NC .

Teacher Tom, in the previous class on Daniel you explained that the main order of the book was Jews, Gentiles nations, and then back to Jews. As I'm reading the Prophets Isaiah and Jeremiah, these books follow the same format. Then i reviwed Romans chapter 11 and it's amazing that Paul has the same approach when he wrote about the Fullness of the Gentiles. Thanks for your detailed teachings. Tomas, Puerto Rico.

Halleluyah. Amen. Thank so much to YAHWEH for using your willingness to teach. One needs a gift to pass on knowledge, yet you are on top of it very detailed, sticking with subject.

Great message! Do you have a theory about the reason why Daniel used Hebrew and Aramaic?

One question if I may. How are we to understand that "Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled." and Paul's insistence that "tand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. " Thank you kindly

Interestingly Messiah does mention unclean food in the below passage showing that it is not considered food... As a stone is not food, neither is a snake...
`Or what man is of you, of whom, if his son may ask a loaf -- a stone will he present to him? 10 and if a fish he may ask -- a serpent will he present to him? 11 if, therefore, ye being evil, have known good gifts to give to your children, how much more shall your Father who [is] in the heavens give good things to those asking him?" Matthew 7:9-11

I see the parallel of Adam when God gave him authy over everything until deception came which was pride and caused humanity to turn to beastly beings. As the King Adam eventually returns to his place of knowing Truth that God is the one and only True and Living God. This had to be revelation to Daniel and his friends concerning the stories that were passed down to the Hebrews. Would this be safe to say Sir?

Tommy, you realize that the yod (10) is part of the name... is this maybe why the manuscript says 2 and not 12? I know that 15 I'd definitely a hidden number, they would create that number with a 6 (vav) and a 9 (tet).

I'm sorry, but I think you're off base on your approach to this one. You elevate Diet as the highest factor that Daniel et al focused on regarding their Jewish Identity, then use Matthew 5 re the continuance of the Law until heaven and earth pass away to support this priority of obedience in thr law. However, the Sermon on the Mount's whole purpose is to expose the internal spiritual state of a person who is open to salvation and sanctification, and the EXTERNAL signs of obedience are expressly subjugated to the importance of the state of the heart. Obedience work is a FRUIT of a properly-aligned, God-fearing AND God-loving heart.
So, as Daniel was in a position of external physical subjugation clearly by the sovereign will of God, perhaps it is not that diet was the Most Important factor of obedience, but rather that it was the ONLY means left by which he could demonstrate the Wisdom of the God of Israel, bc God is NEVER arbitrary, and He has very beneficial reasons for His choice of food/non foods and clean/Unclean handling.
Daniel couldn't resist a name change, or cultural change, or educational change. So he started small and plain-with an approach and result that would be noticed by even the most worldly-sighted Babylonians-he started with the visibly external in order to prepare their internal hearts to see God.
*This is not to support antinomialism, and I recognize obedience in faith results in wisdom AND many other blessings. I'm just saying it's dangerous to focus too much on the externals to the loss of the importance of the internals. We obey NOW bc we know God first loved us, and that unwarranted love and mercy humbles us to desire to honor Him as we can.

    Flesh Eating and burnt Offerings:
❤️ This really deep deception!!! Going through our cannon there are several verses that ABA NEVER wanted any blood sacrifices!!!
This is very understandable if we go back to The Garden of Eden and OUR CREATOR’S original intent for man! Our food was vegetation. THE FATHER is The CREATOR of life!!! How could HE take pleasure in burning of any flesh ???!!!
    Supporting verses:
Psalm 50: 7 Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against thee: I am God, even thy God. 8 I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices or thy burnt offerings, to have been continually before me. 9 I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he goats out of thy folds. 10 For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills. 11 I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine.
12 If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof. 13 Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats? 14 Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High: 15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.
16 But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth? 17 Seeing thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behind thee.
Jeremaiah 7: 21 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Put your burnt offerings unto your sacrifices, and eat flesh. 22 For I spake not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices: 23 But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you. 24 But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward. 25 Since the day that your fathers came forth out of the land of Egypt unto this day I have even sent unto you all my servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them: 26 Yet they hearkened not unto me, nor inclined their ear, but hardened their neck: they did worse than their fathers.
Isaiah 1: 10 Hear the word of the LORD, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah. 11 To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.
12 When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts? 13 Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting. 14 Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them. 15 And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood. 16 Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil; 17 Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.
Isaiah 66: 1 Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest? 2 For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.
3 He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as if he cut off a dog's neck; he that offereth an oblation, as if he offered swine's blood; he that burneth incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations. 4 I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.
    Food Was Bread:
Nehemiah 9:15 And (a)gavest them bread from heaven for their hunger, and
    (b) broughtest forth water for them out of the rock for their thirst, and promisedst them that they (c)should go in to possess the land which thou hadst sworn to give them.
