5 Do's and Don'ts - How to use Ohuhu Markers

in this video I'm going to show you the do's and don'ts how to use ohuhu markers properly and in this video I'm using the ohuhu markers that I bought from amazon, but you can do the same tips with other brand like, touch five, copic markers etc.

IDK Which one to order. I want the mid size pack but I want the newest design that they make. I think it's the ones that the cap can be attached to the other side. IDK which one that is. They have so many listed on amazon

First tutorial?
I got ohuhus and let me just say the caps are sometimes just ENTIRE different colors. The names are also ridiculously misleading. You have to use the color chart
This is an amazing tutorial!! It's not too fast or slow, and you show how to blend elegantly! You are amazing with these brush pens, coming from a begginer!
I think another important thing is to plan out your colors, so you don’t end up with just a random jumble that doesn’t go together

I was just lookinh up the brand because I keep hearing more and more about it. This was a nice watch. Sometimes it's nice to have a video paced a little fast but not lightning speed art fast so thank you.

Maybe this is just me but if you want your whole drawing to be 1 shade, that's on you. Like for example: If your doing a challenge or something along those lines.
and the details, if you are a beginner I would start without details just to get the hang of things 1st

so like both the do’s and dont’s art works are both okay, its just that the do’s look better and realistic like its popping out of the paper but the dont’s look more dull and cartoonish but this video really helps for beginners like me when creating art, this is not just for the OHUHU brand but for others too! thanku!!

Hi! I'm thinking about getting the Ohuhu markers and I have seen that you posted some amazing videos about them so I wanted to ask if there is any certain type of paper that I have to use when using the markers or if I can just use normal paper.
you can use a normal paper that's totally fine but it would be better if u will used a marker paper like copic paper or moleskine for better color blending

i recommend using cardboard paper because then its not going to go through the other side of the page when you use the ink.
I used my moms alcohol markers on mix media paper and regular drawing paper and it worked fine for blending, but the markers were not from the ohuhu series so I don’t know if the ohuhu markers will work on that as well. I’m actually saving up for the 216 set of ohuhu brush tip markers so when I get them I’ll test them all on every type of paper I have since I want to see which one works better with the markers.

The first and last one have good reason, but the rest are just based on personal interests and based on how you want to draw, because sometimes you want the shading to pop and you don’t want to blend it, like me

Is it ok to use alcohol markers on coloring books? If you have the non bleed sheet underneath the paper?

U have to go in one direction doing colouring if u go in different directions u will have upside down strokes

hi, you artwork are golden. my daughter loves to draw anime too. what do you call the clear sheet you have at 7:38?
It’s something to avoid the bleeding of the markers to spread to the other pages behind it,
It's something to help with the marker's bleeding, it is optional, but very helpful especially with thin paper :DD

I think it was called Jelly Roll pens! They come at different sizes so make sure you choose the right one! 😄

Hi Jhoan! Question lang, what do you use for the white highlights parts? Is that a pen? My ohuhu set doesn’t have white, it has a blender tho
