Being generous to others is only one side of a persons traits... and helping others less fortunate is indeed admirable. However, maybe by giving to others makes us feel better for the some of the wrongs we have done. Possibly thinking that the good cancels out the bad...this is only my own speculation and could relate to any of us but that was a very interesting reading. Thanks for sharing @nickyalan333

This made me sad. I watched the whole court case and learnt so much about Johnny, his awful upbringing and his addictions and controlling issues don’t surprise me. For him it’s a survival mechanism I feel and I pray he gets help for that. It was shown very clearly that all his past partners had only good things to say about him and care about him to this day as he does them. However his relationship with his last wife was destructive and wrong for both of them. Take a look at photos of Johnny at the start of that relationship and at the end, he was a broken man. Look at him now, he looks like a huge weight has lifted from his shoulders. I’m sad this new relationship wont work and wish he would get help for himself, because otherwise relationships will always be hard after the horror of his last marriage, I pray he will realise this and get the right help.

Hi Nicky, he didn’t have any past relationships come out of the woodwork to back up AH’s accusations, in fact it was quite the opposite. He does have his internal demons (drink and drugs) but there was no independent evidence that he was an abuser….it’s self abuse.

Interesting reading. The trial was an eye opener, I had not made up my mind one way or another. And what was Interesting was how we were able to see more than what the jury did. The discussions and rulings between the judge and lawyers.
A lot of unsavory things revealed about both but what came up about her and her friends. It seemed to me that they were setting him up. He was incredibly generous, he gave her sister a penthouse apartment, and opened his life up to her friends. I think she was constantly winding him up, she actually physically attacked him not the other way around.
JD was also upfront about why he brought the suit. He was aware that it was going to get messy, that he was going to lose a lot of privacy and he was going to have to defend himself. His addictions would be discussed at length. But he wanted to clear his name, he said that was all he had, he was sick to his soul what she had done to him. And during that time, he lost a lot Disney dropped him, he lost Pirates and Au Savage, Dior was the only brand that stood by him. Everyone dropped him. It wasn't till he was cleared that he started to get his feet back on the ground.
Interesting to note that no other girlfriend, partner or ex-wife came forward with any abuse stories. No doubt she tried to find some.
Only Ellen Bernstein came forward. Decades earlier they'd had a very hot tumultuous affair and she remembered he got upset with her for something and he threw a bottle of wine against a wall. But that was it, he didn't touch her. It seems like he is one of those loud, blustery drunks vs being physical. That relationship with Bernstein seemed to be one that brought out the worst in each other.
His addictions seem to be❤ very personal to him, he had an awful upbringing, his mom was crazed. Its Interesting but everyone he has a relationship with thinks he is a darling but yes he drinks too much, takes too many drugs. Is often late for things but then he balances that out with his generosity towards children in hospitals, his fans. And he is generous to people he loves and who woek for him. A complicated person for sure, as perhaps we all are.

Because I had covid I watched the case and listened to the recordings. I experienced DA growing up and in a relationship, lots of us who have experienced violence didnt believe her, ( I'm not even a JD fan), even if we acknowledge that JD certainly has addiction issues and yes, not a good partner but probably not violent. AH came across as a cruel gold digger, even if Johnny was wasted and a bit of an arse, he didn't deserve that - what a terrible, ill fated union.
I'm a social worker and I support women who have left domestic violence and NONE of my clients carry or carried on the way AH did. She came across as a pathological lier and a sociopath during that court case. As you said, AH is a cruel gold digger. She was with Elon Musk for a while too.

But I have seen the pictures of him and his new partner now, and they look like very different people, so I wont be suprised if it dosen´t last. She had a diagnosis of bipolar 1, not sociopathy which is also not a clinical diagnosis, that would be ASPD, which she doesn't have. 13% of the population have a personality disorder. It's ableist to shame people for health disorders. Mental illness is a health disorder.

I feel that JD’s Native American ancestry stood behind him to stop him closing his account if you will, and that part of his life purpose was to teach the world what gaslighting actually sounds like (those audios gave me a panic attack the first time I heard them as it was exactly like an ex of mine.) I think he’s here to also highlight that DV happens to men too. My personal reading of the emperor in reverse would be Hollywood no longer being right for him, having originally turned their back on him. The devil and the tower all sound like he’s sadly ended up choosing to dissociate rather than heal his traumas and he’s likely to walk right back into a similar situation. As other commenters have said not one of his exes had anything bad to say about him so I’m unsure if you’ve got him mixed up with someone else maybe? She severed his finger and every time she claimed he’d brutally beaten her she was photographed without a single mark or evidence of swelling anywhere, which is why he finally won his case. I believe AH was sent to him by the industry for a reason we don’t and never will be fully aware of, and I think she would have killed him if she’d succeeded. I also think she was part of his management team robbing him of $600mil, basically his life’s work. I think we’d all be a little battle weary in his position!

Not sure where you got the info that JD had complaints from all his past relationships but all his past ones other than AH no other had bad things to say about him. I believe that this reading had the other side of him I could no doubt believe he may struggle still with addiction at times and no doubt he has a huge dose of mistrust for anyone he may get involved with who would not after dealing with her then there is his past as a child I am not a mega fan by no means really didn't know much about him before all that came out with AH but learning the things I know now and I am very intuitive about reading people, always have been. i am also a survivor of childhood abuse and sv then same for years in a marriage with someone just like AH and I think for people that have been through this type of thing we put up walls and it is a struggle to get past them when trying to let others in. Some of this might have been made more clear in the court case if Social Media hadn't dominated the commentary. I felt the case should have been ended in mistrial because there was no way the jurors, who were not sequestered, could avoid hearing those on social media insist that he not be found guilty of anything, ever They could have threatened those jurors. The one charge he was found guilty on, it didn't seem to me he was specifically guilty. The jurors ignored the law where they heard direct evidence of what was done, and the ORDER was to find him guilty, but they would not bring a verdict of guilty. Everybody was hurt by that verdict; no one really won. Mercury was retrograde during the trial and he was experiencing a Saturn return. In the earlier British trial, that court understood more of what it was supposed to be looking at, and didn't judge her because it wasn't about her behavior. She seemed to be a totally different individual in each trial. The women he really liked, it seemed, saw him more clearly and they detached.

FYI, Johnny came from a very troubled home life which is showing in his adult life. He would go back to the Pirates movies if Disney issues an appology for fireing him. Perhaps Disney will see the error of their ways.
