Hello, from Alabama . I received a very gently used Baby Lock Ellissimo. It has 3 updates on it with ALL accessories. I’m so excited to try the embroidery on it. I just can’t seem to get the hang of it though.

Watching replay. I have a Brother PE800 (love it) and now I want a machine with an 8” hoop - but my goodness, the cost!! Embroidery is an expensive hobby - even more so than quilting, lol. Thanks for doing these videos - very helpful for newbies.

On a waitlist for your sip and stitch courses. I’m currently doing a research about embroidery and what I will need and what will be the best machine to buy. I haven’t purchase a machine yet. I have been looking at brothers SE1900 or brother innovis ND1750D. I’m not really sure yet. I’m trying to learn and checking you tutorials about embroidery. I’m hoping to purchase one soon. I have started taking sewing classes. 1st class was house pant. Now I’m in the 2nd class doing a blouse and in 2 week i will start sewing a dress. Now I would love to learn how to embroidery, then quilt. I’m trying to figure out what I need to have to start.

Watching for kemptville ontario canada I have a janome 500e embroidery machine need to learn a lot more to be confident. Realized have to put many more hours to this endeavor. hi there, sorry i missed the live i am like you need to reset. i love watching your videos i have been working with my cricut but need to get back to my se1900 and i have also husquarna topaz 40 my husband got me but have not tried in the hoop project yet and want to love watching you ultimately want a multi needle but that is down the road

I recently got the Brother 680W. So excited to learn tips and tricks. My husband wants to do hats. I’d like to buy from thrift stores and add embroidery to recycle clothing.

The other thing to go along with your machine is a USB pigtail. I know some fancier machines connect wirelessly, but I saved money by getting a USB machine. The little pigtail will save money in the long run, it will wear out eventually and the pigtail is much cheaper.

I didn't know Brother has a new embroidery machine it's the PE900. You can connect it to Wifi and it cuts the jump stitches.
Yes I know the PE900 sounds like it is a nice step up from the PE800!

If I where to buy a machine that comes with only 4x4 hoops. Can I purchase additional hoops with different sizes for the machine that I purchase. Or will the machine will limit me on the hoops that I can use on that machine.

What's a good embroidery machine for hats and t shirts
For hats, it is easiest to do on a free arm machine. Also free arm machines usually have a larger embroidery field which is great for t shirts. I would start with the Brother PR1x, but if you have the extra money, go for the 6 needle, Brother PR680W which they have a great deal on right now for Black Friday.

Is there anything to put on the back of an embroidery design for something that is 2 sided.

I signed up for the year of Creative Fabrica, have only used it once it so far. Getting notices about extending it for an additional year at a good price, good idea or not?
I personally love Creative Fabrica and use it all of the time. But if you are not using it then just let your membership go and buy things individually if thats better and cheaper for you.

There is no sound when you are talking about thread.
I need to know what the big deal is regarding digitizing, and copyright. Do I need to be concerned when I buy an embroidery design and put it on a garment and sell the embroidered garment?
I am no expert, but here are the general rules that I know of. Any brand that is copyright (think Disney, Marvel, Nike, really any name brand or character) you can not sell merchandise with their design on it. There is a lot of gray area with what can be considered Disney and Disney Inspired, but to be safe, if you are running or hoping to run a big shop, I would stay away from selling anything copyright.
