Dad Beat Dad Synopsis: Charlie realizes her dad could get her a meeting with Heaven so she can plead her case with angels higher up than Adam. Lucifer, who seems to have little purpose in his life and no idea how to interact with his daughter, is thrilled to get Charlie's call.

I LOVED LUCIFER SMMM, he’s the silly kind of dad that doesn’t get cues but still tries. And the father and daughter bonding was just wholesome, one of my favorite videos for sure

"More Than Anything" is such a sweet number. I don't think anyone expected Lucifer to be like this. I expected him to be like the typical a-hole dads Vivienne makes, but no, He's a loveable goober who just wants to reconnect with Charlie. When he tried to disuade her from her dreams, it was to protect her. He might not be good at this, but you can tell he's trying, and that he genuinely loves and cares about her. I love this guy, and Jeremy Jordan was perfect casting for him.
I was also scared of the hellaverse trend of horrible dads, but he turn out to be more like Stolas thankfully! And yes, Lucifer is that person with lots of passion but zero to none drive after so much rejection. I’m glad Charlie was able to revive that fire tho ❤️
Lucifer is only a protective dad to Charlie and he's also a goofy dad. I love that he's also supportive of Charlie when she tells him that Vaggie is her girlfriend. Plus the songs Hell's Best Dad and More Than Anything are great songs especially the latter is very emotional and these two have an adorable bond. Plus Mimzy showing up at the hotel is very funny and random.😊😂
Lucy seems like the more APPROPRIATE kind of overprotective parent.

"Who's really ruling Hell" The Sins. They practically have free reign since Lucifer and Lilith are absent, hence their seemingly infinite power in Helluva Boss. You could argue the Overlords have SOME power in the 2 levels of the Pride Ring, but we never see them interact with the Sins, at least so far, so that might just be the Sins humoring them.
Duck, then winged duck among the planets is a metaphor, an paralell directly to Lucifer, I think. Ugly duckling that has been cast away, dreaming about becoming a beautiful swan( = be able to return to heaven and be an angel again one day).
I think Lucifer and Charlies relationship is so well written, how they grew apart because Lucifer gave up on his dreams, but it was Charlies view of her dad growing up that inspired her own dreams, and in turn she re-inspires Lucifer to care again. Its so well done.
Yes they so alike and from images we seen of lillith besides he8ght almost all of charlies design aspects are taken after her father

everyone is swearing at Alastor that he is mocking Lucifer by portraying a “father” to Charlie, but few people notice that he is doing this on purpose. If there had not been something that hurt Lucifer’s pride as a father, he would have done nothing to restore his relationship with his daughter, and therefore there would have been no meeting with Heaven. That is, Alastor again cares and helps Charlie, although he seems to be here for fun.
