- Spec Ops: The Line was an excellent campaign, with a brutal story told beautifully. As old as it is, I didn't even hear about this game until I watched Raycevick's video on it a couple months ago. Botched marketing may have made this game a commercial failure, but it will certainly go down in my memory as one of the most gut-punching games I've ever played. It has earned my greatest respect.
All of the video and audio are taken from the game - Spec Ops: The Line. The song used is "Truth Revealed" from the game's OST,
This is my favorite video I've made so far. Though making it was quite the process. Deciding on the song was a no-brainer. But incorporating dialogue proved to be an interesting new challenge for me. Had to record 7 hours of game footage with only the voice audio activated, and then sifted through said footage looking for all the right things. By far, the most aggravating part was the fact that the game doesn't have an option to disable UI, which kills the scenes that it pops into.
I keep beating myself up about the end of the panning shot at 2:49. I could have A. Had the backdrop of the shot looking at the American flag on the left that’s been torn and dirtied (perfect symbolism for the story of our "protagonist"). Or B. Had it looking at the tower on the right, the game’s final destination. Instead, it’s looking in between, at neither.
Half tempted to remake and re-upload, just because of that one-second clip.
Redo it if it makes you happy man. This is incredible work

I find it incredible that a random person can make a trailer 100 times better than the actual trailer, Hell I just sent this to some of my friends and all of them wanna play it now.
Amazingly done, great shots and great choice in the chosen dialogues!
Thanks! Especially when it came to matching the dialogue with the clips, this is still the video that I'm most proud of.

Thanks, I really appreciate that. My next planned video will hopefully be the same level and tone, but for a different game. But I’m working on it pretty slowly, so don’t expect it very soon.

@@N0-Name416 Haha yeah, I really disappeared huh. Sorry friend. My inspiration to create unfortunately fell off while I was working on the video mentioned above. I recorded about 2 hours of gameplay and voice lines, but honestly found it so unenjoyable to play without music or sound effects (necessary settings for the making of the video) that I lost interest. I also learned that since the intermission cutscenes for that game are prerendered, there was no way to remove the music and sound effects in them. Which meant some of the best lines were rather hard to mix into the video, in the way I wanted them to fit.
But I still hold out hope that I will be inspired to tackle it again one day, which is why I'm refusing to say the name of the game (sorry about that if you're curious).
