Max is a bold yet serene pit of Nostalgia. Growing up with the series whenever I find his tune playing, I need to stop for a few moments to appreciate it. Even at the age of 20 this tune backed up by those sirens gives me the feels. I know it sounds like an exaggeration but the time and view of each game somehow became a strong memory inside me.
I love how in the Portuguese version of Captain Baseball Bat Boy, he curses.

@@arkanjoteixeira In MP1 due to low budget Sam used his own face for Max look, that's why in MP2 they hired professional actors like Timothy Gibbs. Btw, I still prefer Sam face over Timothy, but Mona on MP1 was ugly as hell while in MP2 she is way more hot and beautiful.

I think I may have found another Easter Egg / reference in Max Payne 3.
It is in the Panama level and there's a hot tub in the center that's mostly closed but you can still look into it. Inside, you see the tub filled with blood as well as a body. As you clear out this area, Max says "I was in a ghost ship in a ghost canal, the whole thing creeped me the hell out."
I believe this may be a reference to the human sacrifices and the pool of blood you can find in Max Payne 1 near the Lupino fight. The quote is also something that feels like it would be related to that particular level in Max Payne 1.

There is one EE that hasn't been covered. In chapter 4, when Max mentions about a garage around his apartment where some chumps were chopping cars. In that garage, the totaled car on the ground is the one from GTA IV, the one that Pegarino owns too.

Ik this comment is old but I think GTAVs gunplay was slightly downgraded, plus the gore in MP3 is better but they did get a lot of other assets in GTA from MP3 like the yacht and planes, plus a car in one of the NY levels that also got put in GTA

No, it's not the same, there are many countrys which speak spanish and Brazil is not one of then. Nonetheless I understood the statement as a little misunderstanding of the vlogger, or some kind of figure of speach. Of course I might be wrong and the vlogger don't know the difference between portuguese and spanish, but I digress since he provided a subtitle, translating portuguese to english. Probably you don't know the difference between a Mexican and Brazilian production of soap operas, but they are quite evident here in Brazil. This does not mean that brazilian soap operas are a good product (compared to HBO series per say), but they are far better than the mexican ones.
rcaldieri Well yeah, I don't know much about soap operas as they barely even exist in Spain, and the ones that do, are imported from Mexico and keep the same ear-raping dialogue. My grand-mother watches them all day and they all look the same to me, like steaming piles of digital garbage. My point is, he said it was a SPANISH opera, when he should've just said SOAP opera, or whoever the term is actually called.

I'd actually watched the Baseball Bat Boy TVs before but this video made me realize there's what might be considered a continuity error.
The second TV shows the remaining portion of the episode, but with a Portuguese dub over it. However if you pay attention to the mouth movements, they actually match up perfectly with the Portuguese voice over. Assuming that in the world of Max Payne Captain Baseball Bat Boy is an American cartoon, you would expect a noticeable difference in the mouth movements vs. what is being said since the mouth animation would be matching up to English like the first part did.
Not a big deal but it's interesting to note little details like that.
sometimes, when a dub is exceptionally well made, the translators and the performers find ways to change up the dialogue a bit in a way that preserves the original intent while also somewhat matching the mouth movements. as a latin american, I grew up with latin spanish dubs, and they found ways to make the words different and preserve the intent of the dialogue while synching up with the mouth movements of the characters almost flawlessly
Now that I look at this game, I realize it was just one big tax thing and royalty thing on behalf of brazil. Like that "Shot in Georgia" shit where they pay you to shoot or base your game/movie there.

I wish Sam lake would have always been the face of Max. The second and third game never felt like you were actually playing the real max Payne. It felt more like playing a movie interpretation of Max Payne. Sam lake is max Payne.
