If this video helps you with your cuts, make sure to like and share it!
Would you recommend the 6 inch or the 10 inch for your first saw?
Really good video.
Beautiful cuts.
I may be alone in this, but I am a HUGE fan of at least the look of the fractures!! I understand why you don't like them, but I would buy polished or unpolished as long as they look cool to me!!! #TEAM FRACTURES!!!! I have made a few purchases and plan on many more regardless. I love your work and your vids. THANK YOU!!!!!!
Excellent explanations! Keep up the great work! SLAB ON!! 😁👍🏻🪨⛏️
I’m a recent subscriber and have commented a time or two about wondering how to figure out the direction of a cut, so I’m thrilled to see this new video. I’m an old hippy, so the insides of these agates reminds me of a few LSD trips. It is mind boggling to realize that the creator of this Universe and our souls hides beauty in the very smallest of things, art that takes centuries to create or the diamond ring that appears to surrounds the sun during yesterday’s total eclipse, no wonder its beauty and awe makes us emotional or giddy. I love seeing and hearing your wonder and enthusiasm. I’m moving up there soon and can’t wait to explore the shores of Lake Michigan and Lake Superior! Thank you.
Love the one with the “nose” because once you cut it, it has brown eyes! The others are so beautiful!
You are not rambling, you are gushing! And we LOVE it!
😂🥰
I gasped when you revealed the bands of "The Face" that's an awesome stone!
That’s awesome!!
Yes that last rock was breathtaking!
The last one was stunning to see and for me personnaly.... there's no such thing as "just a rock". Each and every pebble has its own beauty, you need to know how to 'see' it. 💜
Looks like little amethyst galaxies in couple of those!
Thanks for your take on how and where to cut the agates. The larger pastel one is beautiful. The last one…is definitely a winner!
I agree!
I think you should keep both halves of that last agate you cut because when they are opened up next to each other it looks like a butterfly or owl's eyes. It's very striking! Love them all and thank you for another great video. ❤from Idaho
That last one is absolutely gorgeous 😍
Spot on. Drop dead gorgeous.❤
You truly turn these pebbles into precious gems - like magic! Thanks so much for sharing!
That's so cool how one side has yellow and the other side has orange. Pretty! ❤😃
The very first one looks like there's a tiny pearl in the left side. So pretty.
You really hit the jackpot with this video! Every one is awesome! And your “theory” more than proved itself correct. Congrats!
I get just as excited every time you open up one up! Nice nose job on the head😂
I am so happy that you made this video! The very best thing was...."I guess.". LOL!! Made me feel better.😉 I would love to get into this hobby in a very big way, but living in Omaha does not lend itself to many opportunities. Meanwhile, I am vicariously enjoying every adventure you have and loving your excitement! Blessings from an old gramma in Omaha! 💕💕
They are all so beautiful and the polishing just magnifies that beauty!
So glad I strapped myself in my chair! Holy Buckets!😮 Love the tutorial and the subjects couldn't be more beautiful 😊❤! IMO you batted 1000 ⚾️!🥰
Do you make cabochons with any of the Malawi agates? I love them so much!
Not yet
It never ceases to amaze me that we humans are the only beings on earth that really appreciate the beauty of rocks, except maybe some that like 'shiny things'. It's like God made them just so we could appreciate another layer of His creativity.
Absolutely ❤️❤️❤️
Octopuses also collect things like rocks and shells. I feel like a lot of humans underestimate the intelligence of other beings on our planet. I'm not saying you do, just sharing a thought.
@@andrewpritchett2324 You are correct, many of God's creatures are much more intelligent than we give them credit for and I did not mean to diminish them. Many birds collect things as gifts for their prospective mates. I am amazed at the intelligence of corvids, that is ravens, crows, and jays. I did not know that about the octopus. I just think we can appreciate the rocks on a different level.
Of course they might be appreciating aspects we can’t. Polarised light, smell, magnetism etc
That last one is just Stunning!!!🫣😳🤯🙂😃!!!
Yes! Keep the whole agate of the Last one!!!
The last one was really amazing looking
Cool video.
I cut about a hundred+ agates a week here. A lot of stuff out of West Texas and quite a few out of Africa.
It's always amazing when you get those floaters inside. The 3d effects are so cool.
Gorgeous. This is fun to us too.
You were right…..that last one was the best and gorgeous at that! Ahhhh nature😍
✌🏻❤️😃
Thank you for explaining how you decide the cutting position.
Glad it was helpful!
My mouth fell open when you opened that last one.....oh my gosh! Gorgeous! ❤
The one at 7:20 "the face" the one on the left looks like a cartoon character laughing 😂 but seriously they were so stunning! Loving the colors and unique patterns! The last one was PSYCHEDELIC!
Just finished my Geology class, I'm praying for a 95 or above so I can maintain my 4.0, but this class was challenging! You would adore the class I just took!
This Video Is my Favorate Video from Agate dad so far!
I’m so glad!
Where did you get those stones did you buy or find?
I just wing it, but I also don't cut a lot of agates. Most of the agates I cut are seam agates anyway, so you kinda already know where it's gonna line up.
Those are ALL so great! LOVE them all! Thank you for these fun cutting videos! THANK YOU AGATE DAD!
The last one is the best one. Several beauties though.
You’re the best!❤ I love your enthusiasm as you cut these beautiful stones and share them with us! Thank you for doing this with such skill!
Oh I LOVE the one with the tiny agate pockets!
OMG, that “snooter” agate is amazing! ❤ They actually all were. Just finished watching. 😂
Your videos are really helpful.
I guess a lot with the stones we cut, most of the time it works out, it's amazing how the rocks give you little clues.
Absolutely they do!
My husband has decided that you’re a bad influence and that I shouldn’t watch your videos all the time because it fuels my rock hobby. I think he’s just jealous 😂 REGARDLESS - thank you for this video, super helpful! I have three lbs of Malawi Babies coming (also thank you for the Gem Shop recommendation and discount code!) so hopefully your advice will help with any windowed ones I get! Keep on rockin’ my brother!
My husband watched a few videos with me and was saying he loved the lapidary equipment. I was thinking oh boy here we go (lol) but in the best way. I used to go almost every day during the summer and look for Agates down at the beach with my kids. Our family lives Agates and Agate dad has such gorgeous Agates. Makes me long for looking for Agates again. I'm disabled now but the idea of buying them and cutting them as he does looks like so much fun.😊
All nice but the last one!!!!! Wowzer!!!!!
I'm still at the first one and my brain wants you to cut through the window just to see what would happen.
Just WOW !!!!! These are some great agates. Very cool😎😎
So pretty!
It would be awesome to see a video of how you do the whole polishing process. Your polishes are insane!
An educated guess is always good. You had some great agates there and the polish was great. Cut, cut, cut! 😊 thanks for sharing. 😷⚒
That last one is AMAZING!! ❤
Perfect timing on this video. I have four Lake Superior agates I've been contemplating where to cut.
Awesome!
That last one is simply amazing!! 🤩
Wow your going to have 150k subscribers soon
So close!
I can't over how beautiful they are
Same! Always 🤣
Sweet cuts beautiful and educational, thank you so much!
I’m not a rock person, but I love watching you reveal what’s inside. I was wondering where all these cut rocks end up? What do you use them for? Also it would be cool to see how you polish them.
7:00 looks like a volcano in the ocean - my fav
Since I just found you(thanks to a CZcamsr mentioning you), I didn’t know you had an Etsy store. I’m so happy cause I love getting new pieces to add to my collection. Yay!🥳
Other then lake superior agates, Malawi is definitely my 2nd favorite! They are all so beautiful! Especially after that great shine you put on them! 😊
Love that thin white band around the entire outside edge, on #2
Agates are formed like onions or jawbreakers. They're layers of bands stacked on top of each other so there is no "bad cut", it's just about avoiding quartz pockets and band disruptions if you can see them. Really the best way to cut an agate is the biggest face possible for polishing after. I cut and polish lakers in my garage for fun.
I like the fifth one, the dark one with the orange band and depth combo that really shows the crystals inside so well. How stunning that looks. All of them are so stunning -- I don't see how you can choose just one favorite
They look so cool
Sooo cool 😎
That three window one is my favorite!! but they all are beautiful thank you Get dad
I have learned so much from your videos. Thank you!
good review❤
Thanks a tonne! I really wanted to know how to decide where to cut! ❤
Love, love it, love great video.
They all look great!
Thanks!
Thank you for another great and fun video
Glad you enjoyed it
Claro que sí, amigo!
Abrazo fraterno desde Aluminé, en la Patagonia! 🤗
Gorgeous agates!🤩 Thanks for sharing! 😊
Absolutely love the agates @AgateDad! ❤I fully agree about the beauty and wonder of rocks. stones and minerals etc.
I LOVE AGATE!!!
That last one you cut looks like the twin of one of mine!!! So cool!
It's so Fun! Thank you for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Awesome cut success on the flame!
It was definitely a blast!
❤❤❤ your videos. Thank you for your hard work, dedication, education and entertainment. Plus you and your family are beautiful and seem like good people. Especially when your son said "you're welcome dad" for giving you pink eye. Love it! 😹😻🤠
wonderful specimens
That last one: two camels. :) Beautiful
That last one looks like a camel laying down awesome video thanks
That last one you cut looks like a turtle without legs!❤
Love your thought progress on placement of cuts and polishing 😁
I personally think you do an awesome job explaining things for those of us that are new to this. I do have a question was wondering if you've ever just polished the windows and not done any cuts or if you just leave it natural? Thanks again for a another great session 😊
Highly recommend getting a waterproof, rechargeable flashlight that has a 5000k 519a LED. I was searching for quite a while to find something to view colors in rocks with accuracy (to help my color deficiency) and display/show off rocks to others. It makes a HUGE difference, that specific LED is very close to noon-day sunlight, at least as close as an inexpensive LED can get. There are slight improvements on an LED chip that is exponentially more expensive. I'll take 90% sunlight for 25 dollars, thanks.
I have the Wurkkos FC11 (more "in the mid afternoon sun" spectrum) but the TLF golden has the same waterproofing, and the 5000k high noon sun spectrum LED.
Totally changed the way I interact with rocks, from viewing my own tiny collection, to perusing (and selecting purchases) at shows, even other club members like using my light specifically because it shows off their stones better than their lights.
The control over the light intensity is super easy, and allows for very low light, to all the way making a tree 100m away exposed in daylight and anywhere in between with a smooth ramping function.
Wow so beautiful sharing 😊
You must have quite a collection by now. I would too. I had better not start.
I am learning alot watching your videos. Thank you. I have ordered me a skil 7" wet saw. (Got it for $20)
Они все хорошие.И вообще, камнецветов плохих не бывает.Спасибо за видео
This is such perfect timing! I’m literally polishing Malawi agates right now but just the windows. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to cut them but now I do lol. Did you polish the windows that you use as a guiding point or did you leave them unpolished? Thank you so much for the video!
i recently got a rock saw for Christmas. a 10 inch model of the brand you showed here. its awesome haha. i am planing to make slabs from the various rocks i find here in Vermont, usually the ones with insane folding and quartz bands and such. have to work on my straight cutting, but that takes time lol.
Nice! 👍
Із задоволенням дивлюсь ваші відео. Дуже гарні екземпляри агатів.
I'd love to see bits of your "personal collection"😊
Thanks!
Thank you!!
Those african agats I love, they are so so beutiful. Thank`s for showing. Ps. That last one, I had polished the backside of the one half with the nice pattern on and kept that half!!
2 faces with the nose faces opposite directions i really like blue agates but that last one was stunning banding and colors bet it was costly
😍👍💯 Thank you.
Amazing❤
Awesome.
The last one look like butterfly wing. ❤
very pretty
😅That was fun. Nice video.
The last one kinda looks like a turtle!❤
When do you think these will be in your esty store?? I’m in love with the pink color one !!
They were on there yesterday
😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢 They are gone. I’m always to late.
Think about the caveman that said diamonds fell from the sky, did they find cracked open geodes?? It’s amazing
