Ukraine is very much joined with NATO. All of it very messy in terms of morality so I wouldn't go comparing like for like in this situation. Not helping Ukraine would be willingly dooming millions of people (in a country which has already sided with the UK) to undemocratic conditions that would be forced upon them so...

The normal people in the world don't want war. They want a end of COVID and get on with there lives. I think most Russians feel the same way.
Spot on...
The Russians don't have the ability to choose the path their nation takes.
Yeah but apparently what we want doesn't matter. Never mattered in WW1 or WW2 either and young men were sent to die by all sides purely so scumb4g5 could profit from it, let's be honest they are all an enemy to peace. It's the system itself. War is beneficial to profits and political advantages and we are the people who are murdered at the end, that's why it's time to fight back against it and just treat them all equally as what they are, a threat to us all.
Not true. Russia need war. Ichkeria, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine
It's not Putin who kills Ukrainians, it's Russian army that consists of Russian citizens. And the most part of Russian population seems to be OK with it.

Yeah, well, most young men who join the military LOVE it when old men talk. They've calculated that their chances of dying or being paralyzed for life are less than the upside of the GI Bill, 10% off pizza for life, beers on the house because the barkeep thinks it's good PR, and VA benefits. Besides, even though you really only spent the war changing out engine parts, your hot girlfriend will think that you're Audie Murphy.
Most young men, like those old men, couldn't care less what the war is about, or if it's necessary. They just want a war. They want glory, and plan to have the guy next to em be the one who dies.

The U.S. also has more game theoretic power in this situation and therefore by saying "No you can't talk to Ukraine in this meeting" it forces Russia to have diplomacy with the United States which puts Russia in a far less favorable position because they can't just bring up one hundred and one reasons why Ukraine this and Ukraine that. It's one way of saying "The buck stops here. Here's what is going to happen:". I think Ukraine could or should be involved at some point, but as a first matter, having the most powerful military power in the world say "Yes, we'd like to meet with you right now, thanks" is a lot more important and intimating than involving the object of Russia's ire.

We are pawns in a world where the very rich and powerful use us to make them rich and to play their war games. There seems to be very little morality in the world, with hundreds of millions of people starving. A healthy system designed to serve humanity, instead of exploiting it, would not allow this to happen. All human beings should have a right to access all resources necessary for survival. Billionaire space rocket flights and exorbitant wasteful lifestyles are not acceptable.

They join through corruption and lobbying. If you honestly think that Nato arent the agressors then ur brainwashed.

It makes me so sad to imagine so many people can die because of a few narcissistic politicians. The worst part: those politicians will not lose their lives.

I mean in the whole world there are/were/will be people who can and will suffer whenever narcissistic politicians decide to start a conflict, mess with the economy, steal money, or whatever idea they have that can f*ck people's lives.

That's exactly my thought in this case. Russia is so desperate to keep old Soviet pacts that they simply cannot stomach the idea of Ukraine going their own way and being truly independent. What this should show the world is that Russia never really gave Ukraine independence in the 90s, but instead, held them on a leash. They're like an abusive drunk boyfriend who says "sure we can break up, but you can't date anyone else" and then when they find out they've been talking to another guy, they show up late at night and bang on their door screaming at her.

In the last 30 years, America has killed more innocent people then Russia and China combined. Also no, Syria and South Sudan have one of the biggest deaths by conflict. 2,400 servicemen died in Afghanistan, Iraq conflicts killed 208,000 people but most were from older terrorist groups who were in war with Russia. 46,000 would die from Afghanistan conflicts. 52,823 Taliban were killed. South Sudan conflict has killed an estimated 400,000 people by 2018. The Second Congo War, from nine African countries, plus the Democratic Republic of Congo, killed 6 Million people. This is way more than the amount of people who died in US’s conflicts for the past 30 years.
Russia and China haven’t done much so idk why you would use those superpowers as an example. Russia has killed about 40000 people from invading Crimea, thats the only thing I could find about Russia.
