    What is the reference for Imam Shaf’ī statement
    أن تكتب أحسن ما سمعت، وأن تحفظ أحسن ما كتبت، وأن تحدث بأحسن ما حفظت ?

      Jazakakallahu Khayran. i heard it in a lecture attributed to him sometime ago and learnt it. However, since you asked I have done research and can’t find it in the Diwan of imam Shafie. But for Benefit and as principle, it is not related to Islamic legislation or any issue of Aqidah. It is beneficial advice on note taking tips that is sound. - Ustaadh AbdulWahid

      @@MadinahCollege No problem if that is the case would it not have been more correct to say this statement was attributed to Imam Shaf’ī? Maybe you can share what lecture you heard it in if the audio is available or the Shaykh who mentioned it and then that can be sought Insha'Allah. Yes, it is a very beneficial statement but was hoping there was a reference for it. But if you do end up doing more research and coming across it please do share. May Allah bless you.

      and to correct you it is Ibn Al Qayyim Al Jawziyya

    • @norahr434
      @norahr434 Před 2 lety +1

      Aljawzi is his family or grandfather name ,ibn alqaim on other hand was the son of the carer of the school called aljawzia founded by aljawzi that is why it was named after it’s benevolent founder ,the caretaker of the school is called qaim in Arabia hence the name qaim of aljawzia ,qaim of athaheria ,qaim of alomaria, and so on .so these two scholars didn’t relate to each other ,lived in different times ,one of them is the son of the carer of the school founded by the family of the other,hope I helped you.
