Guan Ge Taste# Tan Dian
This uncle is making Chinese version of laiyya laddu😅. We have a same version of this sweet in India but we use jaggery instead of sugar. In month of January ( Makar Sankranti festival) you can have it easily everywhere. Love from India ❤
It’s so fun watching these things from the old way of makings things before an industry makes it.
🙏India!
Same food same taste though the only difference is efficiency and hygiene this is why China is far ahead of us.
@@CP-zg1rwdumb people like you spoil the image of India everywhere

It's amazing to see how people divided by borders share common culture. We also make this in Odisha using jaggery and moodi/Liya(made from rice) People still holding on their traditions are worthy of appreciation. ❤

My grandpa used to make candies in Mexico and was even in the papers for how good it was when we were little he used to let us choose any and all the candy we wanted it was awesome ... This brought back fond memories of our viejito ... "old man"
He has an amazing technique for making it perfectly round, rolling the rice balls in between the bamboo pieces is genius.
Though many cultures have the same sweet snack, the Chinese have used their creativity to give it a perfect finish.
Calm down. It’s not that special ❤

I was new to America. My first holloween.
Dressed in a cheap home made Batmam outfit.
Me and my friends went trick or treating.
An Asian man opened the door, smiled and dropped a couple of golf balls in my bag.
Later that night at home, we were enjoying the bounties of our cheap hard candies, from sweet tarts to twizzlers. We were trading candies with one another. We were rich and high off sugar, and believed we were the masters of the universe.
Then at the bottom of my bag were the golf ball things, except they werent golf balls at all, they were rice balls
They were delicious.
Anyhow, years later it dawned on me that maybe he was also new to America. Wasn't prepared for trick or treaters but didnt want to let the kids down so he gave what he had. Part of his dinner that night. 😮
Thank you Mr. Asian man.
I never knew your name, but you made that Holloween memorable. My friends and I laughed at the rice balls so much we almost peed in our pajamas, ( we were kids, dont judge). 😂

We do this in Southern part of India too but it would be black jaggery mixed with puffed rice and rolled into balls. It makes a tasty snacks.
Pori urundai
I was thinking the same. Traders from the South with foreign European traders may have traveled to Japan and brought it to India. Or Japanese traders brought it back from India.
But they prepare their delicacy in a much more cleaner environment, they never anyhow threw the ricepops on the dirty floor.
@@zzzzxxxx341 ha ha ha been to India ?

Love watching a skilled craftsman do what he or she loves to do….God Bless and Much Love From The States🙏❤️✌️
I love watching the old crafts before industrialisation and the invention of the factory. It’s a beautiful process watching a craftsman doing his work ♥️
It’s ironic that these so called ‘dated’ skills will become essential all over again when the plague of global industrialization/greed collapses in on us. For probably the first time in human history, most of the answers we desperately need are in the past, yet we keep doubling down on our obvious mistakes; painfully guising it as progress.
I see videos like this and get sad wondering how many beautiful skills are being left behind. And when I voice opinions like this to peers, they say things like “you just have to move with the times” or something of that attitude. If anyone here goes through this I’d love to hear anything you have to say. I fear for the world so often and I’m only 27. I think I’ve felt that we(people at whole) are lost for most of my life and it only gets worse as I get older and current events seem to get progressively more grim.
Like people my age get excited about SpaceX launches and new phone models, but I can’t fathom being concerned with either when most parts of the world have scary agricultural/drinking water outlooks for the near future. I explained the problems going on with olive harvests along the Mediterranean to my coworkers and how it could adversely affect cultures in that region for years to come and all they took away was that their favorite brand of oil would go up in price. 😢
