Provide an instance of Ghanaians in Nigeria who faced consequences due to a stereotype, and I'll show you that 99% of Ghanaians often stereotype Nigerians, often driven by jealousy and envy. Ghanaians residing in Nigeria will confirm that Nigerians are generally indifferent to one's nationality; they are more focused on collaboration and earning a livelihood.

Hey Befe's, there is no need for Nigerians to be Nigeriapbobia . My good advice for Nigerians is they must get their passport and apply for resident permit from the Ghana's immigration . When this is done, the govt can look for them in case something happens . The only problem is a lot of the Nigerian are not legally documented and something happens , they run away to Nigeria . Just about 5 years ago , 3 girls were kidnapped and killed in Takoradi and all the people involved were Nigerians . Please advice them to be law abiding citizens .

Nigeria is like an earthquake. Its younger generation is sending powerful negative vibes everywhere. I had a good friend called Christian from Nigeria. A well informed individual who got sucked up into that vibration. He siphoned $80,000 from a hard working man's account and got imprisoned for 8 years. I missed him anyway. However, Nigeria with a large youth population without job makes yahoo and other sources dark business opportunities. The youth is making things hard for many good Nigerians. Why will all banks in the US be alerted about Nigerians? It does affect other Africans too, because initially they can't tell the difference. One day, a strong resilient government might come to change the condition of that country.

    U have spoken well
We never had problems with Nigerians till recently when some of them started engaging in very horrific acts
A lot of Ghanaians went to Nigeria a few years ago and were law abiding u never heard about a Ghanaian kidnapping , killing innocent people and all the horrific things that some of the Nigerians are doing in Ghana
I grew up with many humble respectful Nigerians like my best friend Joseph who took me to the Gyandu park at Sekondi to watch football for the first time in my life
School mates and neighbours like Ngozie Oyereke Bello Aperide Erica Nwachuku and many more
There were no differences among us except when engaging them in football and the annual sports event
Ghanaians in their hearts have no hate for Nigerians but because of few very bad nuts make us alert when we interact with them
Hope time will bring us together als we use to be
It’s getting a little bit better
We must focus to get rid of the criminals

It is unfortunate but what you are saying is true. What can be done to help change that perception is that when a community of people identify a bad nut within, it is better to tip off authorities about it. This will help erode that fear and create confidence in any society that a community finds itself. At the end of the day, whether it is Nigerian or not, it is still an African. We all have to do our part to make the Africa win the respect it deserves.

@@sammathenge630 there is no doubt that Nigeria is experiencing different kinds of crises but that does not warrant them to live a bad life when they leave the shores of Nigeria

Instead of immigrating to Ghana, such good Nigerians should live in Nigeria and set a good example there. If they are all escaping to better countries like Ghana,it will take longer for Nigeria to also develop.Love for Nigeria should make them sacrifice for her.

The Nigerian who are businessmen most of them are great and truthful. Let's stop stearotyping. We are all Africans. Some Nigerians should also try to follow to rules foreign lands. For instance, I was in Kenya last year and the bolt driver asked if I'm a Nigerian and i said I'm a Ghanaian and his mood changed positively and told me how he love Ghana bla bla bla. He said he thought i was a Nigerian and wanted to advice me to be careful because the police deliberately would go looking for Nigerians. I got so angry I said I were a Nigerian the police that to me I would sue police big time. He told me a lot of things about Nigeria. But i was sp conscerns.

Nigerians and Ghanaians Intermarry all the time so that’s never a reason why a Ghanaian can’t marry a Nigerian.

@@Befe_Space yes we inter marry but few Ghanaian men have the courage to marry Nigerian women.
First Nigerian women are deemed extravagant and do not like to be submissive to their spouses.
You know we ghanaians are calm, cool and better lovers. So any disagreement throw us off.
So Nigerian women show us we the Ghanaian men your good sides and we shall venture in droves.
