Cod are addictive to catch and their table quality is superb
Agreed! Very hard to beat fresh caught cod on the table and hooking keeper size cod or bigger will give you a good fight. Shame we don't have a stronger fishery for them!

Going on the Atlantic Pearl from the Captain Lou fleet on a 60-80 mile wreck trip next weekend. Hoping to land my first cod and will follow that recipe if I do! 🤞🏻

We had trips canceled 3 weeks in a row on us due to weather. Aiming for Jamaica 2 in Jersey for late winter cod February/March now.
@@stevecrossland that sucks, there was a period where the boats were cancelling a lot due to poor conditions, mainly too much wind! If you can hop on a trip on the Big Jamaica or the Voyager before the year is over. Both are very good boats and they're in the same area!
I went out on a trip on the Big Jamaica last month and my friend went 2 weeks ago and we both limited out on seabass and there were plenty of porgies to catch plus a shot at other wreck species!

Yes a couple, I thought I removed them all but apparently I missed one which you at the start of the cooking section!
