I'm telling you right now, these Rust "Closet" Cheaters are more common than you think. I think it's pretty odd that people all a sudden start hitting insane shots, over and over. And also they're awareness is too good. People think the hackers who RAGE CHEAT are the ones you need to worry about, the closet cheating is more and more common than Rage Hackers.
Facts. Had a guy getting called out for 3 years straight by so many people, but he was as lowkey as Can be. Only after 3 years the very active and even relatively ruthless admins caught him red handed, and he finally got banned. Scary to Think how Long a smart closet cheater Can go on for if not constantly monitored. Also the more the admins watch someone without finding any evidence at all, the less serious they Will start taking the reports of that player. Like oh another guy reported this guy but i already know that hes just a freaking pvp Chad so why would i even waste my time watching him.. Smart cheaters are no joke.

Despawning is the best feeling. Knowing the raiders will get nothing is so satisfying lol.
You can do this concept a lot easier with an igniter-beancan/satchel. Iirc, you can put a beancan or satchel on the twig trigger, put it out with water, then hook up an igniter in range of the beancan/satchel and have that igniter get triggered by sensor circuit. I used this with an AiT double bunker 2x1 build and it works pretty well. Before setting up the seismic sensor, you can kind of do it on a budget with flame turret or shotgun trap.
That works better with a heartbeat sensor or laser. Lock them in when you can and maybe you have a kit spare.
@@steve78NL The seismic sensor is a little more accurate because you can set the distance on it, but yeah, you can do that or on a smart alarm. It all works.

When moving items through a drop box. One trick to speeding up the process is to use the 'Hover Loot' key (standard key 'H'). Use this key while hovering quickly over a row, and then instantly spam the send button. If you're fast enough, this technique allows you to transfer one row at a time, just as fast as when using a regular chest.

Terrence group is definitely cheaters, the spot on sora and knowing you were in their base during heli, coupled with the arrogance of “oh we better than you”. Guess their cheats don’t work well with heli which shows just how shit they are.
And let’s put it this way, it’s bad when a pve player calls someone shit lol.
As soon as Rust implement this, I am coming back. Apparently they are aiming for November.
If a player is behind a hill and you can't see them, don't network the player. If a tool cupboard is inside a base, don't network the tool cupboard. This is server occlusion, and it's difficult to get perfect. We're currently experimenting with this and hope to do a slow rollout over the coming months, pending further internal testing.
It's why rust is slowly dying, the cheaters are not getting punished by anticheat and legit players find entertainment elsewhere
@@markcroker4570 tell me about it, I run on a pve and people get hit with eac for fly jack from jumping normally in the game. Yet I’ve seen a camomo vid where someone was rapid firing a bow and eac ignores it.
They need a better anticheat system.
This is what made me not want to buy it if I ever got a steam account because from what I know rust on Xbox isn't as fun because it doesn't have all the stuff pc does and I don't know how ps is with it but yeah originally I wanted to eventually get a PC to play certain games that you can't on console or on specific ones and this type of crap turned me off from rust and well then steam deleting all the true reviews on suicide squad kills the justice league with how shit that is big fat 0/10 but yeah then doing that made me just basically say fuck steam with them shilling out for shit baby inc.
@@austinsmith5529 yea but at the end of it all steam is just a place to buy games from different devs. There’s other apps like riot games ea and the like.
Also another little pc gaming win is buying from sites like cdkeys for cheaper and redeeming the game code on steam. And honestly that’s what most pc gamers do. Or we wait for the sales steam runs.
Also there’s servers where in games where the odds of avoiding cheaters or having active admins is higher. I think sebby tends to play on official which is facepunch relying on its anticheat.
Rust or dayz, never play official servers if you want to have a fun time, always go to the community servers tab and see what sparks your interest there. Pc is better in that your hardware will last you longer. And you can still be super selective on which games and how you buy them.

You could use the idea from the stimpee beancan trap where he blows up beancans with a igniter, you could use that to also seal a bunker instead of a unauthed player and turret

Just FYI for stashes, the only way to "hit" it is with a hammer. To bring it up without a hammer you just gotta look at it for about 3-4sec, so your crosshair has to actually be on it and not go off

You can put a satchel out with a water pistol but the question is can you put them out with sprinkler systems? If so that would slow raiders down, you could chuck a satchel on the foundation then put it out with water gun and put a igniter near it triggered by a heardbeat

You're game knowledge is better than that. I was getting rid of the bad loot so we could transfer the good. The loot was already despawning from the broken boxes! If I raid someone just to despawn their loot thats up to me. Despawning instead of defending is another matter!!!!!!

@@tigrecito48its not the same at all man. Whats frowned upon is despawning your loot (especially the good stuff) if you get onlineraided. Doing a raid while the base owners/defenders are online is a lot harder than an offline raid, and is also fun to defend, even if you lose it an be fun. But most raids are done (while the base owners are) offline because thats a lot easier, and also the base owners cant despawn loot. If you despawn shitty loot - either in your own base or after a raid, just to sort out the loot, thats completely different.
@@TorsteinOpperud its still kinda nasty to despawn stuff... if you leave them with all the bad stuff, they still might continue playing.. maybe move somewhere else.. but if you leave them with nothing its not very nice.. id only say someone should do it if those guys have been real jerks or did bad similar stuff to you

the problem i foresee with your raid defences, where if someone even just shoots a gun it auto closes all your doors, is someone could just stand outside firing a gun to make your doors keep closing to troll you... or do you only turn that on when youre not there?

Instead of an auto-turret you can throw a satchel and put it out with water gun, then put an igniter next to it that is triggered, or you could put an RF controlled C4 there and have an RF transmitter connected to the sensor to set off the C4

I don't play Rust but I did see a video a long time ago where you can detect if a player is nearby by using items that give you comfort. Comfort is reduced if there is more players near it.
34:20 You can see them messing with a comfort item. That might be how they detected you but it's a far stretch to say that they weren't cheating and they definitely had a cheat of some kind.
Imagine this... They are coming back from heli, don't come into base. Instead 1 kills himself in his car base then spawns inside so they can attack from both sides. You would run straight in and depo. NOONE WOULD CHECK COMFORT in a million years
