Thank you. An informative, candid video. I can't wait to get my Ge Tumnus. Right now, I use a RAT on a very low gain setting stacked into a Wampler Belle (also with low gain) for my dirt tones. The RAT actually works really well in that position but I feel it is a bit too direct and crude at times. The other day I was looking for an alternative for the RAT. By pure chance, I came across a video showcasing the new Tumnus with Ge diodes. I liked it so I ordered one at its launch price straight away. I never expected the level of craziness that followed! I'm glad I ordered one when I did. Anyway, I'm expecting it to arrive in the next few weeks. I play blues and blues rock with shades of gospel/country/soul (i.e., not much gain) so I think the Ge Tumnus and the Belle will be great. Brian Wampler has golden ears when it comes to dirt pedals. Thank you again.

Awesome! You’re very welcome. You’re gonna love it; especially with the kind of ground you want to be able to cover: blues, blues rock/gospel/country/soul. It’s got that three dimensional Klon sound that just enhances an amp and guitars underlying tone.
I’ve played the RAT pedals a bunch in the past. Great little pedals. Their iconic sound for sure leans more towards the crunch/ heavy distortion side of things. That’s were they shine.
I think the Ge tumnus is definitely going to round you out from clean boost to light break-up to buttery lead tones. (Plus it pairs so well with other drives/amp-in-a-box style pedals).
Stay tuned! Hoping to post some shoot out videos and cool pairings with this pedal soon. Enjoy man!

@@EmandMoh Thanks for the kind words. BTW, RATs at minimum gain into an edge-of-breakup amp can give you a fantastic blues tone. Try it! However, legendary as RATs are, I don't need 95% of the gain dial. LOL! I hope the Ge Tumnus will give me those low-gain tones but with some extra finesse and dynamic pizzazz.

I ordered from GC, even called to make sure I was guaranteed it, and then they cancelled my order a week later.

Sorry to hear that; That sucks. Sounds like they were back-ordered and probably couldn’t secure more units. There are still a few of these on EBay and reverb. I think i saw one this morning for like $350 on eBay.
