- Ferrari’s poaching of Lewis Hamilton for the 2025 season was the end of an empire. When Hamilton leaves the Silver Arrows at the end of the season, the most successful driver and team partnership in Formula One history will be over. Ferrari will be hoping that Hamilton’s driving skills can help them recapture some of that sparkle that made them the legendary team they are. But they aren’t just betting on Hamilton, as the Mercedes ship continues to sink, staff are looking for dry land and Ferrari have managed to save a couple of the best. Today I’ll check out Ferrari’s massive new signings that twist the knife in Toto Wolff.

How hiring the "Performance Director" of a non performing car ( consecutive 3 years now ) is good for Ferrari ? These "heads" should bear the responsibility of their failures as they are always at the forefront to enjoy the fruits of success.
That’s exactly the reason why They are leaving Mercedes those are the Engineers that Was told to Shut up and Engineer just as they told Lewis to shut up and Drive They wanted to change direction of the design development of the w13 but it fell on deaf ears and now this is the result of not listening 🙉
This whole Mercedes downward spiral has been sad and pathetic to watch. And hearing Toto Wolff making excuses every race is absolutely hilarious. First year was a one off, second year was like ok what are you doing. And now here we are in year three and they still haven’t got it right and it’s straight out embarrassing.
Its formula 1 everyone has good times and bad times look at McLaren Ferrari and even red bull over last 10yrs
@@Whysoserious2-2-2 I understand your point but the difference between them is that they were able to get there shit together, whereas Mercedes are coming up with the same excuses and not able to understand their car.
@@ryanmiller-nh4cl that’s the challenge of f1 just think about it since 2010 there’s are the only two teams to win titles. Back to back and now it’s red bulls reign again

If Ferrari can sign Adrian Newey too, everyone should be nervous!!!!!!
He wouldn't make an impact like he did for redbull last rule change. Yeah he can sort out there Aero package but isn't 2026 more about engine?
@@naithonstray4762 it's more like 50/50 in terms of impact, but ferrari has the best powertrains division atm so they're probably sorted out anyways

Mercedes were far too blasé about losing key staff while they were still winning. They still haven’t addressed that at the time they need the best people more than ever. Their downward momentum is looking as baked in as Ferrari’s continued improvements. If they sign Newey as well you’d have to say that Mercedes next championship would look years away.

MB Stuttgart will sell their 33%. They have no contractual commitments to the AMG F1 team beyond 2025 BUT have committed HPP (which they 100% own) to make engines for McLaren for the next 8 years. Going back to their roots......

Yep, why would you want to sign people from a team that isn't doing as well as you are. Ferrari is outperforming them, so WHY would you say we can build a better car than you, but we want to replace our talented people who have helped turn around our car's performance with these people.
If I worked at Ferrari, I would take that as a slap in the face. Not loved. How motivated would you feel?
Why poach from a losing team? The Mercedes chassis has been garbage for years so why poach the perpetrators? Ferrari have lost the plot, spend the money on Newey and be done with it.
Mercedes gave too much power to Lewis. Practically gifted him several championships in a car that was already champion.
