Of all the things we lost when Disney canceled the show, this is the most blatant. Vee was The Owl House's own "Author of the Journals", and the doppelganger becoming the protagonists sister instead of being evil has never been done before. But all that potential was flushed down the drain.

I waited DESPERATELY for Vee to come back on screen after Yesterday's Lie and even though we got small cameos from her from Reaching Out and King's Tide Thanks To Them and Yesterday's Lie were the only episodes that she REALLY got to shine in. It's an UNBELIEVABLY missed opportunity from Disney. Dana I really love you and I know it was hell making this show but PLEASE we need more from this sweet baby face. Don't let Disney stop you from making spinoffs because even though they have money you have an ARMY of fans being us. Remember that 😉

Vee, Boscha, Matt, Collector Of all the characters in the show these four seemed to have suffered the most due to the short season 3. Especially Vee because she didn’t even go with the others at the end of “Thanks to them”.
I'd also add Kiki, and Odalia as characters/antagonists whose characters were flushed down the toilet and were utterly wasted in the finale. Also to a lesser extent Belos as we were never able to see his decent into hating witches. As a result all we really get is hates witches cause white, catholic colonist and also savior complex.

The striped shirt and bat Vee has on her in Yesterday’s Lie are both references to Luz’s beta design, where she was depicted a fair bit older, wearing a striped shirt (and a hat that’d also seemingly got referenced in season 3,) and with a bat. I think these are a nice little nod to the development of Luz as a character, and who better to re-introduce these than another version of Luz in universe?
I'm glad Vee was not baddie she want to be safe and love, she takint Luz place over and bonding with Camilla was so sweet and hearing backstory is so heartbroken being a tase subject by Belos and when Camilla sees her form she didn't freak out or disgusting but instead she was proud to have her and loved her as much as Luz even though Vee had little screen time she quickly being a fan favorite and i love every single second of her she's definitely my favorite minor character.

Funny how Luz went from wanting to attack Vee for thinking that she is going to take over Luz's life as her evil doppelganger to sympathizing and wanting to help Vee once Luz got to know her more.
God, imagine how much more of her we could've gotten if seasons 3 and 4 weren't cancelled. She was probably my favorite character, aside from Hooty. So much involving characters, backstory, and plot had to be trimmed down or completely replaced with the new plan for the 3 hour length renew.

Think it had to do with the fact that her character ultimately didn't want to be involved with "saving the world" stuff. She just wanted to live a normal quiet life without the danger and excitement since she didn't have a normal life before. All she knew was fear and pain. So she moved to the human world while luz dealt with everything else in the demon world, which is where most of the story took place and is centered around anyway. She was probably just meant to be a very minor side character but she is one hell of a good one. Though the shortened lifespan of the show could have also affected her screen time too. In the show you can clearly see her discomfort when she started helping the others. She was afraid of getting too involved and risking getting captured again. So afterward she hardly showed up because she felt more secure by staying away from all the drama and conflict.

I think you missed a line, after she gets rescued by Camila she asks, "Is it okay to leave him in there?" Still a great video. I for one would love to see Vee posing as camilla and Luz in the human realm and getting closer to Masha (Is that correct?) and stopping the creepy conspiracy nut from getting a hold of magic that’s been leftover or smthn. My favourite line would have to be at 2:13 ("You and I are NOT the same, you had a Mum that loved you, a home, a life, you had it good! And you still wanted to run away!") it really nicely subverts the Isekai thing that Luz had going on, calling her out for what she abandoned
