I lived in Key Largo for twenty years and loved it. Had several whalers and they are the best! Joy sticks are about $25,000 bucks. I will stick with a bow thruster until I win the lottery.

Hi well if I am lucky enough to win the rollover on the lottery this is what I would buy. Total fishing comfort and a great cabin so I can stay aboard in the marina. We don’t see boats like this in the UK preferring inboard engines and the cabins are very spartan compared to this.i wonder how this rides at anchor in a lumpy sea as we don’t blue water troll but mostly anchor or drift the wrecks etc Bill
I am Boston Whaler guy but the Grady White 36 has a better below decks layout. Top decks, cockpit and helm deck, BW owns it.

I'm at the point where I'm ready to just apply for a job at one of your dealers just to learn about all the boats, but, in any event, subscribed. If Sea Ray is trendy, and Parker is rugged and utilitarian, then I would describe this Boston Whaler as the best of both worlds. It literally has all the most important modern conveniences of a Sea Ray, but is still sport ready, adventurous and yet very well protected. A shallower draft (22") allows for both blue water running and fishing and wildlife tourism in estuary canals off the Everglades. How did I do? Did I get the job?

This isn't primarily a fishing boat, it's a multipurpose boat that does many things well but none perfectly. You can do a little fishing, some sightseeing, use it as a dayboat or a weekender, etc. If you want a Boston Whaler in this size range primarily for fishing (and some diving), look at the 350 Outrage rather than the Conquest. gerard haubert there is no 350 G2. They don’t make anything over 300. Also Whaler won’t rig anything but Merc.

Brunswick Corp owns Whaler and Mercury so Whalers only come with Mercs. Ok, they had their problems but that was along time ago!

The 31 Conquest is a lot more trailerable at 13,000 lbs. the 34, yes lots more room is 19,500 Lbs.
need a special permit to trailer that one.Should be on a lift anyway.

Need more specifics. A very "large" livewell means none thing tangible, how many gallons capacity; how does it fill & drain; IMHO it is of little utility if it does not fill at the top & drain near the bottom.
Weighs 20,000 lbs and not trailerable. The 31 conquest weighs 13,000 lbs and is a foot narrower and is trailerable.

That's not black paint; it's a shadow cast by the high sun shining down on the rub rail. Watch for the shadow cast by his fingers when he touches the rub rail at 0:16. (But yeah, the rub rail is a bit wonky or it wouldn't cast a wavy shadow like that.)

You could do it like Grady White transom. They've got the seat AND plenty of storage.
It's not primarily a fishing boat. Look at the layout. It's more of a family boat. If you want a fishing machine get the Whaler Outrage and while you're at it take a look at the Everglades. Same hull design (the guy who designed the Whaler started Everglades years later - his name is Bob Dougherty) and it is family owned. Beautiful engineering in both the Whalers and Everglades. Can't go wrong with either.

@@eduarditogonzales4485 yep, I remember as a kid, my sister and I had a styrofoam rafter we floated around on in the creak. My friend and I found an oyster tub fisherman use when oystering and tried to use that but it was too small and leaked. I then graduated to a 12 foot flat bottom Jon boat with a trolling motor given to me by my dad and a friend of my mom's. I still have the 12'er and now my dad gave me a 15'er he had laying in a field that I want to build up. Need to by a motor and fix a hole then hit the water.

Great boat but Mercury is shitty. As a commercial fisherman from the Gulf Coast of Louisiana we avoid Mercury engine. Our choice is Yamaha
407Khmer what’s wrong with mercury? I’ve had a 1997 200hp that’s served us well, never had a problem with it, and we take it 50+ miles offshore, all you have to do is take care of the engine and it will treat you well.

@@stevewilliams4777 overpriced means the price is too high for the task being performed and it is higher than what a competitor would charge. Poor service can mean many things but a few examples: taking too long to perform simple tasks, rude staff, incompetent staff, failing to return calls, poor attitude (staff thinks they’re doing the customer a favor). I’m guessing you’re a MM employee.
@@workinonhouse actually shopping boats at marine max, never bought before. They are slow at getting back to emails which is strange if they want to make a sale. Is this a company wide issue or just one location?
