You know what? HIStory Tour is my favourite. Don't get me wrong - I love vocals on Victory, Bad, Dangerous Tour, they are breath-taking. If I had had chance to see him performing though, I would have chosen HIStory. He seemed to be really happy, even though he was tired at that time. I don't hate him for playback on majority of his songs. He was self-aware and knew that constant touring was gruelling and he couldn't conquer singing every song with such an energy that he had had before. You can see his eagerness and great choreography, though, and something that I love the most about HIStory Tour - the way he talked to fans. He smiled a lot and just was with them mentally and phisically. It's something that I've never noticed on his previous concerts. You know, when you watch Bad Tour, he seemed to be impossibly perfect, just like he was non-human creature. His goal was to sing well and not to miss a step. On HIStory Tour you can feel happiness among him. It's hard for me to express what I feel. I just want to remember him for that jubilant talk before every J5 Medley.

Yeah he looked relaxed during History tour and smiled a lot. And some people say he wasn't happy to do this tour.... There is a contrast with 93 leg of Dangerous tour when he looked (and was) frusted and exhausted.
But it's not true to say that he was tired or ill during History tour. First of all, when you look at the programmation of the History concerts, there are just 2 or 3 reported/cancelled and no one for medical reasons (vs at least 10 for Dangerous tour). Then, he looked bigger (with more weight) than in 92/93, in better shape (althrough he was probably taking drugs like always)
And he didn't lip synched most of the songs because of laryngitis (like it's common to say) ! He had laryngitis for maybe 1/4 of the concerts, his voice was OK for the others. It was a choice he made before the tour because he couldn't assume to sing/dance anymore at 38 years old. But IMO he could (and had to) sing 4/5 more songs.
Maybe you're right, but I don't think I am the right person to judge him. We didn't witness what he was going through at that time so we don't know exactly. I appreciate that he agreed to do HIStory tour and am happy seeing his smile and energy on stage.
I agree, and I don't judge him too, it's understandable he did playback. But that I've said is it was his choice, and this was not because he has no voice/laryngitis like people say. I have a preference for History tour too (because the dance/choreographies are better than other tours IMO) and it annoys me when people say it was bad (lol) because he was sick. It's a cliche. I'm not 100% sure he was in good shape, but the fact that there was no real cancellations is a sign (and the 80 dates too ;) )
And he looked happy to do these concerts. In contrast, Dangerous tour buenos aires in 93 was a great performance but he wasn't happy, his eyes looked weird.
Yeah, I get what you mean. I don't like when fans try to make excuses for him all the time. He was a human and made decisions that he didn't have to apologize for.

His vocals sounded really good here!! It almost sounds like it's live. You can tell Michael was really happy and well on that night despite how sick he was in Munich. The admiration and love he had for his fans truly shows us how much he cared for everyone. His dedication to his work and the World truly proved he was one of the rarest artists anyone had ever seen. Michael was one in a million and an artist that doesn't come along very often he changed the World and helped billions of people on this Earth. He changed music history by winning the most ever won Grammys of all time and the amount of awards he won made it into the history books. Michael can never be replaced or there will never be anyone like him. His message, legacy and music will live on forever he will never be forgotten. He is truly missed by all his fans around the World.

+Millah Milla Idiot, do you know how must it felt in his shoes? The tours were very demanding and he's performed all his life. Think before you call Michael Jackson "lazy".
He had laryngitis which is basically like having a constant sore throat without any relief. He was a miracle he went on this tour. But thats just the magic of who he was
he definetly got lazy in some concert (especially around 1997) were he din't had laryngitis, ever since the second leg of the bad tour he began to use playback, and no the hole excuse of not being able to dance or sing at the same time makes no sense, he can dance like crazy and sing good in WBSS yet he lips syncs songs like You Are Not Alone where he stands there doing nothing? lol as well as many dumbs fans thinking he had laryngitis for two years straight.Even do he got lazy it's understandable here..he's been on tours alot and ages is getting to him so it's fine to do it!..even do he's able to sing more songs perfectly fine live then just two oh but the sky is blue? oh shit! :^)

agree totally. The chemistry he had with his brothers can never be replaced. People want to discredit his brothers all the time, but I'm sorry nobody was better onstage with Michael than Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon and Randy his brothers.
