The Key Tip To Passing Internal Medicine Boards

- A viewer asked for my tips on passing ABIM, and here are my thoughts. I have used the same approach for all of my board exams. Remember, there is some bias in asking people who passed on what their advice is - so take it with a grain of salt. But, as with many others, I recommend doing AS MANY questions as you possible can. The key difference for me however, is that I believe you should make a flashcard or keep track of a learning point for EVERY question you get wrong - this is the only way to truly maximize your learning and retain the information from the question banks.

Haha no more StarCraft but I started watching Broodwar videos from Tasteless and Artosis again recently XD. I do want to get back into it at some point... but I need the right game. I've been watching Stormgate and Zerospace closely but they haven't quite fully caught my attention yet. No plans to subspecialize!
Thanks for this alot! using NEJM right now and its pretty useful and planning to do uworld right after closer to the exam. I started w/ MKSAP but getting alot of feedback that mksap would be good for practicing after boards and not the best for board prep given areas like heme onc that go too deep for an internist level. Did you touch nejm at all and what are your thoughts on how reflective mksap questoins were to the actual exam. Thx in advance!
Agree with doing uworld first and maybe NEJM second! MKSAP wasn’t bad but yeah I did find myself getting mildly annoyed when 10-15% of the questions were out of the scope of the exam haha

Conan. I have been in practice for 30+ years. UWorld says their product is not for Maintenance of Certification (MOC) exam but only for first time certification. Do you have any suggestions from MOC prep Qbanks?
After listening to your comment that the examination is poorly written, I would like to know how you feel that the board can make improvements and how you came to the opinion that the board examination is poorly written.
