Tweak that pedal so it hits the floor before landon hits redline.
I was coming to say the sane thing 😂 might save replacing another engine
Been thier done that lol and my son couldn't figure it out then a few yrs later I finally told him the secret dad trick that I had done lmao so now he can maybe do it when he has kids and then pass it on down 🤷♂️🤷♂️😁
Just screw a thin metal block to the floor under the carpet so he can only go 80% throttle.
A Hillbilly governor! I love it!
Tennis ball under the gas pedal
2:57 never thought I'd see a hitmarker here 😂😂
I will never understand why my family and I enjoy watching you guys work on vehicles all the time???? I can't get my wife to stay in the garage and my daughter has no interest in 4x4's but it's great that each new video has my wife, daughter, and 3 sons and I all together on the couch as a family. Thank you Fab Rats for keeping it family friendly!!!!! God bless you and yours real good!
I'll say it again, Paul you really love your kids man...mad respect because that is an insane amount of work into that truck.
Good parents are the rarest and most valuable thing on this dirt.
Good morning Fab Rat's! Love watching and laughing with you guy's!
Looks like you found a new editor. It’s just a little different style than normal
Always glad to see a FabRats video get posted
Shout-out to whoever adds the "while we're working" music good job
Good morning Fab Rats and fans!
Coffee and fab rats, great start to a beautiful day 🇺🇲
Somewhere as he watches you put pieces and parts together to bring a truck back to life, Dr. Frankenstein smiles. 😁👍
Hey Landon, That's 1 cool machine! I love the old square bodies, especially with a step side bed! Can't wait to see it on the road, or actually off the road!....Peace...jimi
Four dudes staring at an awesome motor after it was started!! Like kid in a candy shop, great job to all of you👊🏻
I'm glad you guys have so much fun in the shop while getting things done. Thanks for the video Michelle and crew.
Absolutely love seeing all four men with the common goal of making that truck run, watching it fire right up. So fun! Another good one y'all.
See you got your New Editor. GreatJob!!!
Nice touch with the math formulas and the X-File sound track 😊
Those guys need those hard hat baseball cap inserts as much as they bang their heads under vehicles haha❤❤
Gooooood morning everybody and thumbs UP to Fab Rats!
the little clank of defeat was kinda funny with the gas lid
at least it still worked even with opening on the other side
The x-files music when Paul was thinking was great lol
Look at Landon, he’s excited getting right in there helping. He’s a good kid
Only discovered you guys a few months ago but your channel has become one of my favorites. Not only do you guys do a terrific job of filming and editing, I really connect with you guys as another guy who grew up on/near highway 89. Keep up the good work!
And…even though I’m a different religion (Ford guy 😂) I love me a good square body. 🙌
😊😅 j
Love the split screen action and the rapid wrench/ socket action. Definitely gonna be a Cool Truck when it's finished
I didn't have a dad. I bought things I could afford and researched how to fix them but when something happened that I couldn't fix because I didn't have the tools, money or knowledge I had to let it go for a fraction of what I bought it for. I never could get a break. Best car I ever bought is my 2006 scion XB. I've had it for over 13 years now and it never needed much work at all.
Video quality is off the charts good! Thanks Hunter!
'Throwin' the wrench reminded me... High School 1967, working on a 1963 Triumph Herald (the predecessor of a Spitfire). Classmate, Dennis O'Brien, was sitting in the car 'tapping' on the bezel of a Smith's speedometer. "Dennis, don't do that! You're going to break the glass!" Tap, tap, tap - CRACK!!!!" Dennis glanced at me, hopped out of the car and ran. I picked up a 13mm box end wrench and let it rip. Square in the back of his head - THUD!!. 56 years later and I wonder if the 'lump' is still showing?
Excellent video keep them coming cause there great thank you, very good with the video's Michelle keep this bunch going
I know the real value of the “Landon’s Truck Build” is great content tor the channel but I hope someday Landon understands how great his dad, uncle Ben and Sean are for working on ‘his ‘ truck…and that he can express that appreciation in a meaningful way.
Paul, you're awesome. It would be an honor to shake your hand. Zero percent chance my dad would have helped me build a truck, even if he'd had the skills or tools, had to figure all that out on my own. I hope your kids properly appreciate all you do.
My dad would have been more likely to wreck it after I'd built it out of spite.
Our boomer dads were so terrible we have to learn this stuff on youtube.
My Dad didn't help me on anything ,but then I have never felt entitled to the point that I would bad mouth him on a you tube video,my father did the best with what he knew. Miss you Dad 🙏 RIP. Hey Paul keep up the great content 👏👏👏
@@jimedge8301 Glad you had a good dad otherwise. My comment was definitely meant in the spirit of appreciating the gifts Paul is given, not badmouthing my own dad. That said, the shoe certainly fits, and I feel no shame in saying so.
@@om617yota8 sorry if I offended you with my comments,it was directed more to the others bashing their " boomer dad's" my father wasn't the best trying to please 7 kids and I never felt he owed me anything, I just knew I wanted and tried harder when It came to my children,so as not to repeat the same mistakes he had done.
Michelle, your editing and music selections are top notch.
Love the splice-ins from movies
Ben is the essence of man, there should be no episodes without him. When the lord returns to earth he will seek Ben's advice.
the X Files music...love it.
When it started up, everyone in place...its like a NASA program running down the checklist. :D
You guys are awesome and the split screen with Paul and Ben is cool to watch.
Keep up the great work
It is great to see family working together. My family would be all fists and foul language, lol. Awesome job everyone.
Well done! I remember my Dad helping me with my projects in the garage. The memories will last forever.
Making progress on Landon's truck soon he will be backing it out with a big smile on his face.
Man, seeing y’all work on these ole square bodies reminds me of an old 83 Chevy 4x4 that I had. It was a swb with a 4spd 350. I sold it in the early 2000’s for next to nothing because the motor wasn’t running at the time…and I needed money. I love the old square bodies!! I kick myself every day for not keeping it.
Talk about two brothers that are so talented. Ben and Paul are truly blessed by the hands of God with so much talent. God bless Fab Rats 🐀 😅
Hmm maybe title should be "Eviction Day! Landon's Truck is getting Out"
Great video!!! I cant wait to the next video when we all figure out that with the tail light back on the gas door will not open all the way.
Hope the son appreciates dad building his truck. I like it. Didn’t happen with my dad.
Landon's beaming. That truck sounds good. No leaks.
The truck is coming along great ❤ im sure landon is excited to drive his truvk again for sure❤❤ Ben the trans grease is made so that once the trans fluid warms up that specific grease will warm up and turn into trans fluid ❤❤❤ thats whats special about it but not a lot of people realize theres special grease for inside transmissions but you did thats good, it means you know the proper stuff to use for different parts❤❤❤
This channel has put together some really cool rigs, but this one is my favorite build. Just a clean ole square body that is turning out cool.
The money and time some dads will spend to save their sons $$ money $$. With luck ... the lessons learned will be priceless. Good work "family" .
Paul , Ben .etc ..there all really good guys ..great videos to watch with the family anytime. 💯
Laydon is a lucky kid to have you all, family, getting his truck race ready.... Now he's just gotta go easy on the gas pedal and keep that old girl rolling. Good luck!! Cool truck for sure!!!
&Michelle -your edits are getting really good.
👍🏻
Good morning you guys definitely made a lot of progress on Landens truck. I am sure you guys will figure out the issue with the bed.
Hey Paul,, instead of cutting & welding the gas door, why not just switch fenders, left for rite
Really enjoy watching you guys I have a ton of square bodies myself always doing similar stuff . I was just thinking it probably would have took less time on the gas filler door if you would have in bolted both fenders and swapped sides . Way less welded and body work . Keep up good content.
. You guys have to realize many of us had dads who never worked on cars, tools. No shops around to hang out with cool dudes learning things. Paul and Ben just make up a plan, start drilling holes, welding and it works! Poor Hunter seems to take a lot of ribbing about his truck but gets his zings in also. Good group of people working as a team.
That’s your skid plate? YEp… hahahahah that silence said it all.
That is going to be one heck of a nice truck truck when it is done. Very nice build gentlemen.
Paul: "got a lighter ?" I'd hate to see him make a fuel of himself.😁
Landon's step side short bed square body pickim up truck is turning out super sweet
I seen a pretty cool trick that a custom shop did find an old steel gas can cut the bottom out, cut a hole in the bed the same diameter weld it to the bed put a fuel neck going up to the lid of the can pop the top fill your tank up
The rumble of a flow master beats the heck out of the obnoxious sound of a glass pack
Grandma Lolly chucking Hunter under the bus, classic!!! Paul: "Who'da thought a throttle pedal could be so hard to do". Hunter; "I'm finding it entertaining!"
Hunter your camera work has improved in leaps and bounds, keep at it, mate!
love the split screen!!!!
been watching you guys for about a year plus I'd love to have a shop like yours... love the work
Wouldn't WE ALL !!!! Just to have a LIFT a PLASMA CUTTER AND A TIG hell I could I build a HYPERCAR or a cool go kart at least
Hunter is coming right along!
That boy reminds me of me. I put three motors in one truck within two years
Duck Dynasty has nothing on the Cox boys. Dang I am so envious of you guys working together like that and having fun doing it too. I always worked alone. I didn’t mind but the help would have been nice and fun too.
Great job Paul, Ben, Sean and Landon. It’s slowly coming together. First crank start up. Kool! Hopefully Landon will have a kool head on his shoulder and Not be Over Zealous with the Power the LS has! We’ve All been young before! 🤙😎
Paul maybe I could teach you something when you do braided lines tape the end before cut and the tend to stay together better and you don’t poke yourself as bad try it next time!!
Hey Ben...dont forget the dielectric grease on those plugs...really helps keep water out and easy of separating the plug later...
19:45 Are you going to have to put the taillight on a hinge so you can swing it out of the way whenever you want to pump gas? 🙃
Great progress. Lots accomplished. The squarebody will be running and whoopin’ on Hunter’s truck soon.
You guys do great work, love the content and the inspiration!
Nice job on Landons pick up.I have a feeling if he breaks it this time he's going to fix it himself.
Great to see a young man protecting his hearing. Once you lose some, you never get it back.
Spring has sprung working out in the shop. You all are my night time show until winter
A whole pit crew working on landon's truck, he must be some one important,😃, you are landon, 👍
Y’all gotta get us a video of a “build breakdown” of the ol’ wood truck ASAP!!!
Good progress, he'll be a happy boy when it's back on the road.
going to be fun putting gas in with the taillight in the way and it flipping out :P I love watching Paul's ingenuity though.
Welcome back Paul, Ben, sean and Hunter. Lot's to do getting Lando's truck out of the shop and back on the road. It's going good and moving forward and it runs! Which makes me wonder about how the new shop is coming?
You all are spoiling the kid. When i grew up I did all the work on my car and paid all exspenses, parts, fuel, insurance etc.
Haha you can tell ben has kids with his really good hearing haha ❤❤
LOL!! You sure can tell they are related. When Paul was putting the accelerator pedal in and said, "This is not very user friendly"... he sounded _just like_ Merlin...
Sunday morning coffee and a fab rat video, can’t miss with that combination!
Grandma lolly casually throwing hunter under the bus 😆 🤣 😂 ❤ from pnw oregon
Flipping down the fuel door would’ve been wicked cool!
Going to be a badazz square body when it's done!!!💪
Could always put a body lift under her to clear the gas neck. Then you could get bigger tires!
Awesome job that everybody has done. Can hardly wait until it's completely done in Landon will have his pick up back
Another wonderful job by the Fab Rats the best team I know.😁
It amazing how you are with your boys glad to see how they respect you Mr. Paul I got a autism son who loves to build stuff it just amazing watching yall keep the good work up
I just did my best impression of Papa Dar, something about that grind and tappy tap, now where's that replay button.
There is one thing I always notice...
Paul: Owns a nice Plasma Table with automatic cutting mode
Also Paul: Always cuts his Parts by hand :D
good job everyone!
good video upgrades and shots...funner to watch yal work. peace
Tip: Cool your body metal down with an air blow gun while your welding to stop the metal from warping so bad from heat!
Of course it’s going to start. You guys are giving it TLC. It will 🏃♀️ ☘️
love how ya guys just make it work....
eye it up, grab a cutting wheel and just go at it..
ehh close enough...
and it comes out working well looking cool and with character.
Landon is such a fortunate young man to have such a team as his dad, uncle and other relatives backing his project up with real help. And Landon's folks are very fortunate to have such a fine young man for a son!
About time that poor kid has a capable truck !!! Congrats Lando (sp?)
Those Flow Masters sound great I have the Flow Master X cat backs on Challenger and it wakes up the neighbors! Landon is a lucky kid having his dad and uncles building his truck for him. ❤😂
