I have the long one, I uae it everyday when im at work. Its just a little hard to get the socket off if it get greasy. My HF makes you bring a ticket up also.

Another great and informative video. I do not think I will ever buy anything ICON, but the content you provide allows me to see without buying. I wanted to address your statemment on packaging. The only other real brand I have seen to do sch things is Nepros from Japan. Also, they measure from the center on anvil to the end of handle, that is why the difference.

Both Snap-on ratchets that I've ordered through their website came in a brown cardboard box with filler paper to prevent it from jostling around during transit with no other packaging or wrapping,
That kind of makes sense since they are not in retail stores I guess they feel they don’t need retail packaging Maybe?

when i have a deep socket or extension my icon 3/8 is very gritty and binds. i tried greasing it but that did not kelp. any idea what i can do?
Hard to say what’s wrong with it. The only thing different I would do is not use a grease but a light oil instead. But that may not be the root of the problem. It is lifetime guaranteed so if it’s bad I would take it to Harbor Freight for a replacement.

Do you have any experience with the wright cougar ratchets? Sometimes branded as cougar pro?
I’m familiar with that style of ratchet. It’s made in Taiwan and is seen under a few different brand names including Cougar

Yes they feel just like an icon but you can get the half inch flex for 30 bucks
I haven’t opened one up but from the looks of them they are probably the same ratchet as Icon without the up sale
