- The #1 Ranked Hopkins Royals defeat Wayzata Trojan 86-76 in the section final to advance to the state tournament. #PaigeBueckers had a game high of 33 Points.
#AnnikaStewart and #MaraBraun both put up 27 points for Wayzata. Mara a sophmore is looking like the next best thing, and should be a player to watch these next couple of years.
Stewart; a Nebraska commit has a bright future in front of her.

They have been in this position before and been runners up, 2015-2017. As good as they are, they are not a lock.

@@starsmediagroupmn2277 They are the favorite for sure and should win easily but that was the case in the past too. If I had to bet my mortgage, I'd go with Hopkins! :)

I don't know man the refs were not calling fouls against Hopkins towards the end man. Stewart probably got fouled 3 times in the post should have been all and 1s and there was a obvious travel on Hopkins the refs didn't call either mate. Call the game straight up i hate when refs are biased. Should have been a much closer game if refs were straight up. Goodjob for Paige some clutch 3s at the end there for her
I agree. Hopkins def got some favorible calls. A great team like Hopkins will hurt you. I def agree with the refs being bias.

I am a fair person. But Hopkins got lucky for a few reasons: Jenna; one of Wayzata's top players was HURT and didn't play. Mara and Annika, played incredible. Paige had a great game as well, but the refs helped out. She only had one foul towards the end of the game? When the game is that close, and how physical the game was I believe she had more fouls. But Hopkins is a great team, I just don't think they will win it all this year. And I am sticking to it.
Who is going to beat them? Wayzata was the best team left standing in their way. Also, where were all the Bueckers fouls? I sure didn't see them.
