Lars U. should watch this.
I read in an interview with Lars when he was in his prime-20+ years ago-that that very night he was very nervous since Nicko was attending to the show. 20+ years ago.

Yeah, I'm a drummer myself and I'm asking me why he does that .. like the throne is so low that he need to stretch his legs forwards and the snare is in front of him with something like a 40 degrees angle. just weird hahahaha but he plays great with it, so
***** Nicko's set-up is anything BUT a classic 80's metal set-up. Every 80's metal drummer played two bassdrums, two or four tom-toms and one or two floor-toms. Nicko was one of the very few, maybe the only metal drummer who played with just one bassdrum. Look at the positioning of his Ride Cymbal and the toms, look how low he sits behind the kit. Anything McBrain is very unusual. Seems like you don't know much about drums.

Nicko, my name is Jeff & you were one of my favorite drummers as I was learning way back in the day. I went to see you guys at a place called the Capitol Center in Washington D.C some 30 years ago & all my friends & myself got good seats, but I was there to see you, so I went to your left side & when you guys were done I yelled" hey Nicko, I'm your biggest fan, could I please get a stick or 2 from you" & you said you had thrown them all out to the audience. I was a little bummed out & you said, hold on I'll see what I can do. Well I waited a while & one of the security guards said, get the hell out of here you punk kid & I told him you said you'd be right back. Well you know how security guards are, he said leave our we'll whoop your ass. Lol. So I left, but no matter, you were still my hero & had a great influence on the way I played. I still play, but I crushed my L1 vertabre in my back & it cut into my spinal cord, I also suffered a traumatic brain injury, but God is Great!!! I can walk just not quite the same. Lol. & I don't sleep much, I'm in to much pain, but I'm alive! & I fell asleep for a couple hours & woke up about 3am. & for some reason I picked up my phone & somehow by the Grace of God, I stumbled across you on someone else's channel. The point is, it brought back some fond memories & how much I loved your playing. I'm so thankful the Lo5saw it fit for me to see this tonight & the lack of sleep was well worth it. Yeah George Kollias is incredible, and so is Tony Royster, Gavin Harrison, Mike Mangini and Matt Halpern/Gartska (the list is endless. But Nicko McBrain is still my favourite drummer.
Ha-ha, Nicko is so 'Down to Earth', as all the members of Maiden. A really cool guy. And of course a great drummer. His first performance with Maiden, believe it or not, as he said, was as Eddie. Think it was in the ''12 Wasted Years'' video he claimed that. And of course, all Maiden fans know that.
It's too easy to forget just how many total hours of his entire life have been spent on his drum throne...and I'm not even counting life before Maiden!

This living legend has nothing to envy to the young drummers, Really tight and flawless drumming there.
Yeah George Kollias is incredible, and so is Tony Royster, Gavin Harrison, Mike Mangini and Matt Halpern/Gartska (the list is endless. But Nicko McBrain is still my favourite drummer.

Ha-ha, Nicko is so 'Down to Earth', as all the members of Maiden. A really cool guy. And of course a great drummer. His first performance with Maiden, believe it or not, as he said, was as Eddie. Think it was in the ''12 Wasted Years'' video he claimed that.
And of course, all Maiden fans know that.

It's too easy to forget just how many total hours of his entire life have been spent on his drum throne...and I'm not even counting life before Maiden!
the maiden guys seem to be among the nicest and funniest guys in the biz.
One of my ALL TIME Fav Bands and Nicko is such an integral part! he makes his part look so effortless, and this is as an older man.. his younger playing is massive!! I do HATE the way he sets up his kit lol but thats up to him.. you can never see him
