Its happen to us all at some point in our life where we forgot to backup some data and then formatted our hard drive or SSD and now we want to recover data on that drive. I like to use GETDATABACK, its probably the best data recovery software available on the market today.

My 2TB external drive looks like it corrupted and flipped to a RAW format from NTFS when my computer crashed last night.
This drive has EVERYTHING on it. Work, records, videos, photos. All of my shit going back 25 years!
Is there any way I can reformat it to NTFS without losing my data or rescue the data on there and have it be usable?

Hi, the drive I’m scanning is an external, so can I copy the recovered file on to the PC and move to the drive during the recovery process?

@Britech, I subscribe to your channel and follow with the videos you provide. This one was especially helpful for me to recover Live music sessions from a venue near me. The PC they used crashed and asked me to take a look. I had already reimaged for them and the new data was saved during the event. I ended up getting a replacement dive (Seagate 2TB), loading with Win 8.1 (the PC was not Win 10 compatible and that's why it crashed) and then following your tutorial. I downloaded the software and purchased the Licence for £64 and my customer is a Happy Bunny! Thanks for the sessions and keep them coming.

If I will format it again
Will I be able to get both type of files(which has already gone and the one which is still alive currently )

If you want to scan a mac drive you can from windows, mac file system is apfs file system, which this software supports. If you are running a mac, then you would need mac software and then scan. watch the video and your see apfs file system, so I am guessing it would scan them files. Please check with there site.

I formatted the my SSD hard drive and my some files were also deleted during this. I used the Stellar Data Recovery Professional for windows. This DIY software recover my files. I found it so easy to use and recover.

It's 2021 and it just got into my mind, that around 2010 I've formatted my hard drive with lots of important for me documents and files. However, I've used this hard drive since then pretty much every day, so there's no chance to even see my old files. If only I could, I'd literally pay with my life, only to get them back...

It says free download, sure enough, recovering the data, I willingly paid for I not only had my main system crash on me but also my back-up drive went down with it to inaccessible. I have been working on my systems for days now but I have at least one good news now :))
huh i recently formatted but forgot to make a drive so my chrome and some other apps were gone is this a minor issue or a really big one
@@bikoman813 Not quite clear what you formatted. If you formatted your computer, then that is big work. From what I understood is that only your Chrome browser and a few apps got formatted?? How did you do that? Depends on your process to tell what you might do next.
Creating a drive on your computer is not a big deal. If your Windows is gone, then you have some work to do.

Well it had to happen, some dill (me) formatted the wrong drive. I can vouch for this program to recover everything I lost.

I have stacks of photos, no kids to pass them down too, they will just be lost eventually lol. Try and make time to look at some memories, its like finding a lost piece to a jigsaw sometimes.
did the folder tree and file names stay in tact? i tried using recuva and no luck there in that regard. found my files but most of the names and properties were lost

Hi, I recently reformatted a hard drive that had some stuff that I thought I had already made copies of, but I have seemingly lost that. It took me a few days to realise, and I have already started to install new things onto the drive across the last 2 days, not a whole lot of stuff. Are you able to advise if I would be able to find these files, the software only seems to find the files I already have on the drive, and does not look for deleted data.

Does the data degrade if you do repeated scans? Also, would you get worse results on a deep scan, if you have already done a basic scan?

n the last 2 years, I've had 4 external hard drives fail. Every time I buy a new one, I formatted it with Disk Utility (by using ExFAt) which as I understand is great for Mac and Windows. Today, a 4TB disk has "You can still open or copy files on the disk, but you can’t save changes to files on the disk. Back up the disk and reformat it as soon as you can.". Any idea on why this keeps on happening? I use MacBook Pro. Thanks for your videos!

Thank you for the video. My laptop had a crash after a Windows Udate. I tried to back up the data but it didn't function. As last option I reset the laptop and reinstalled the windows. Now the laptop is fully functioning but I could not find my data. Can I recover it using this method? Wouldn't a download of this App overwrite my data?
Does this work with PS3 hard drives? Ik it uses a different file system, but not sure if that is supported in this software.

Question. I cloned a 250GB HD to a 3TB HD accidentally. The 3TB drive was 70% full. The 3TB now shows up as a 250GB drive with 2.75GB Not partitioned. Is there any chance of data recovery? Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi, I bought a Seagate EX HD and downloaded around 3TB of pics and docs. Accidentally, I formatted the drive and downloaded Windows 11 from Microsoft website and now it shows only 32 GB. In fact, the original Seagate drive is 5TB. I removed the drive and put it back and still it shows only 32 GB. I deleted the the Microsoft content thinking I will have by 3TB of pics but IT SHOWS ONLY 32 GB. BUT IT IS A 5TG EXHD. Please advice if I can recover the 3TB of pics and docs? And/or what to do? @@peph9750 turns out the hdd I used was failing thats why it didn't work nicely but yes. I've recovered other data I deleted by mistake and it works. Just make sure you don't copy anything new to the drive as that can overwrite the data you are trying to recover..
