Very helpful tips. You have certainly mastered pastels. Your paintings are beautiful!

Great use of math and science in art. Last heard of fibonacci and the golden rule way back in high school... Also your accent is to die for.

Thanks Emma, this was a really helpfull, especially when thinking how to do a background.
So often they seem too daunting.

    Thank you for the video.
I have reslised that I like very natural painting, I am not so into mathematically perfect measures/lines because it reminds me of computerised works. Instead, I like to measure the proportions with objects. Thats how i was taught before and I still love it.
    Nice video and colors.

Thank you! I too don't do a lot of measuring, most of it is by eye. But when I look back at my work I am often adhering to many of these rules naturally. Always good to know the general rules so you can choose to break them intentionally rather than by accident. Thanks for watching and commenting :-)

When I was learning portrait photography - your ‘offset image’ came up in a different phrasing - ‘the subject should always be looking ‘into’ the photograph’. Like most rules - 9 times out of 10 - it’ll work....... but there’s always that 10th time.... and you still might just get a pleasant surprise!

You're right! Sometimes the most powerful images are because they break rules :-)
