  • For a better experience use headphones. I didn't choose this song just because Sephiroth is the enemy, in my opinion there is a great background for this song to combine so well with the character, I am not at all justifying that Sephiroth's actions against humanity are fine, but I clarify that he was also a victim of Shinra's system of injustices (like the protagonists) and that he was not given the same help. I hope the audio sounds good, I edited it about a hundred times.
He first narrated the moment where Sephiroth realizes that he has been lied to about his origin and the memories where he thought everything was in order, when evidently Genesis envied him and Angel pushed him aside, also the constant competition towards him that despite being a SOLDIER member he was an "enemy" in the training simulator for the other SOLDIERS, who sought to defeat him in order to take away his title of hero.
Then when he locks himself in the library, Genesis telling Sephiroth the truth in a cruel (and wrong) way, finally burning Nibelheim. In this part of Crisis Core I found it unfair that Zack gave his help to Genesis and Angel, but not to Sephiroth, if Zack really considered Sephiroth as a friend he would have been worried that he would be reading like crazy and would not have let the days pass until Sephiroth decided to burn Nibelheim, instead Zack attacked Sephiroth without wanting to understand his actions.
Consequently Cloud and Aerith; Cloud although admired Sephiroth was not interested in the reasons why he burned Nibelheim and better chose to kill him; Aerith at all pretends to tell Sephiroth the truth about his misconceptions and blames him instead of attacking the real culprit, the Shinra members. Of course it is good that they want to stop Sephiroth, however, not in that hostile way. In the end I put a Sephiroth who feels betrayed by everyone and who will continue with his ideas, as he did in the past and now with whatever he intends to do in the second part of the Remake.

Very fitting, especially since the Crisis Core version of One Winged Angel is called "The Worlds Enemy." Also the timing at certain parts were impeccably on time.

I had never thought about the possibility of seeing Sephiroth's feelings. Thank you very much for showing the other side of the problem. 🧐👍🏻👍🏻

I'm glad you liked the idea of the video, just because Sephiroth is the villain he is judged severely, that inspired me to bring out his position also as a victim in Shinra's system, I appreciate your comment 💗

I really liked this. Effectively using clips from so many different sources is appreciated. Well matched editing throughout, but particularly loved Sephiroth's "Huh" right before you start into his duel with Zack and the point at 01:28 where Sephiroth knocks his attack aside. Very interesting song choice and you do match it perfectly to give this sense that Sephiroth sees himself as alone against a world gunning for him after claiming it admired him. The "Keep on praying...Goodbye" moment where it shows Aerith and then the point where Sephiroth cuts her down, nicely done! And everything leading up to it starting at 01:59 is tightly put together. When Cloud is fighting him and Zack says to finish him off, you really convey how much of a blow it must have been for Sephiroth to hear his friend say that. I'm behind that interpretation; when Zack put a sword to Sephiroth's neck and asks why he killed the villagers, Sephiroth looks confused. Not arrogant "you-really-think-you-stand-a-chance-against-me" but befuddled "why-are-you-turning-on-me-I-thought-you'd-be-on-me-side". Enjoyed it!

Thanks a million!!, I'm glad you mentioned the sequences you liked the most in the video. With the editing I wanted to show my annoyance to the bad treatment given to the character in his past, I think Sephiroth is a villain that was not born (although they say he was born a monster) but they did make him one, so many lies, loneliness, without the support of anyone, Sephiroth never had friends and wanted to look for that company in Jenova, doing anything to be with her and filling himself at the end with resentment. I hope that in the Remake Sephiroth will have a more empathic ending than just his destruction.

@@pitch_dam . Yes he's an iconic villain. But it's time to have a different take but this time through his eyes. Because , I've heard there's always different sides of a story. And we've already heard from Cloud's point of view and from Zacks too. It would only be the obvious path to let know and see what Sephiroth's been feeling. Whether if it's to show his fall or through his redemption. I really like this montage. Thank you.

@@satsukisan8128 That's right, Cloud has already cried a lot, Sephiroth needs to cry.
