I played too much imperial guard to not immediately recognize those background noises

I actually tested how much views CZcams can "accept" from one account per video, it's somewhere between 5 and 10 (maybe 7, could be actually a random). And I tested this back in mid 2010s, they could've reduced it further to fight botting.
If the mod is even halfway as badass as your soundtrack this is gonna be a great success. For Emperor and Imperium!
Brilliant! Keeps the charm of the DoW1 imperial guard theme, and add a more military AND religious, orchestral touch to it. Great work !

The captain made his round quick and in under ten minutes the entire 4000 strong regiment was checked, ammunition shared and canteens emptied as the bodies of the Guard looked haggared and near broken, yet their eyes showed determination, grit and the will to see the day trough. Uriel intervened : '' Captain, would it not be wise to rest before persuing the greenskins further..?'' The captain turned on his heel, not moving from his spot and greeted Uriel by presenting his sabre and saluting in the manner customary to his world and spoke in turn : '' My Lord, we are sons of Preatoria. His servants, His Guardsmen, We do not retreat, nor rest with the enemy in sight. Uriel deceided these men where worthy of their assistance and he ordered his company to march with the Guard and the Ultramarines formed up and soon marched alongside the red tuniced sons of Preatoria towards the horizon and the greenskin enemy that dared the wrath of the Emperors angels and His guard to lay claim to this world, and as they marched Uriel trough a few glances sideways could have sworn on his honour that in that moment each guardsmen grew several inches in height as pride swelled beneath their breasts.''

It feels like a remix/remaster/remake of original OSTs (not just dow2 but dow series)
I think the darktide theme is also that song, but maybe its just my brain tricking me.
Wouldnt be strange though, many games reuse their main theme in different versions. Once you gear it you cant unhear it.

Edit: In the 7 months since I've found this track, I keep coming back to it. I absolutely love this track; perfectly captures the essence of the Guard imo.

hmm when the spaghetti western influences kick in the song gets a strong Starcraft side taste. (in the later parts -2:35-- onwards- even Star Trek?)

Love how you keep the orchestral and hymns of Dawn of War 1 & 2. Too much 40k music uses too much bass and reverb without letting the melody shine through. Mechanicus gets a nice blend but still a bit too dubstepy in places.

Bit too noble for 40k, but I guess this is how the Guard sees themselves. This track wouldn't be out of place in a JRPG lol.

Obviously, you guys have never listened the original soundtrack of dawn of war. Especialy the theme for the imperial guard.
@@chagui5253 Who hasn't? This piece goes beyond being an upbeat militaristic track like the original DoW IG theme (and fortress theme) and enters noblebright territory.

No I don't agree with this.
This doesn't even sounds like something from 40K let alone Imperial Guards.
I know you take DoW 1 Imperial guards theme and throw in a bunch of Celtic instruments in but this doesn't work. You can't mix culture music from real life to the Imperialistic culture of 40K...it just doesn't make sense.
In fact, this sounds like a Lord of the Ring soundtrack instead of 40K.
Yeah I'm that one guy with a different opinion but I'll say it because this is the wrong direction take.
I hope I'm being pretty clear, because there is no reference of Celtic culture in the Imperial world at all... Heavy Gothic influence yes but not this.
If something doesn't sound like misery incarnate, you'd think it wasn't 40K enough.

In what world do you even hear celtic instruments or celtic culture references ? There aren't such things here, just a good old uplifting military march and by the Emperor, that does works
