    As a someone who has tried unsuccessfully to “understand” Walker Percy’s novel, I’m very thankful for the organizing framework that this lecture provides.

    And he read Soren Kierkegaard. Percy was using his methods in such a beautiful way in The Moviegoer. It's my favorite book.

    The best opera COULD save you. It could be a deeply spiritual experience that COULD even lead to a religious or spiritual realization. This, in fact, happened to more than 1 famous musician (often resulting in becoming Catholic or other Christian denomination)
    Conceptualizing 3 categories of humans doesn't seem very Godly or loving or unlimited. Perhaps this gentleman is representing Kierkegaard inaccurately.
    I look forward to sampling Mr. Percy's work
