  • The Golden temple Amritsar
    The Golden temple is famous for its full golden dome, it is one of the most sacred pilgrim spots for Sikhs. The Mandir is built on a 67-ft square of marble and is a two storied structure. Maharaja Ranjit Singh had the upper half of the building built with approximately 400 kg of gold leaf.
    The Golden Temple Timings on all days of the week is between 05:00 am and 10:00 pm. The Amritsar Airport is about 13 kilometre from the Golden Temple, while the Amritsar Junction Railway Station is less than 2 kilometre from the shrine.

    Jallianwala Bagh Massacre, incident on April 13, 1919, in which British troops fired on a large crowd of unarmed Indians in an open space known as the Jallianwala Bagh in Amritsar in the Punjab region (now in Punjab state) of India, killing several hundred people and wounding many hundreds more.
