- first clear of the Alatreon special assignment, really tough and also use element attack, for me probably best to use dragon or water ele, and the power of the Escaton Judgement is weaker if you manage to stagger him before it uses EJ.
the Escaton Judgement works like a DPS check if you failed to give the elemental dmg to stagger alatreon it will definitely wipeout the entire squad!
the other way probably try to go solo and put fortify to get atk & def and for the food try to get Felyne safeguard or insurance, oh and put BLIGHT RESISTANCE to nullify dragonblight!
And also try to use safi + kjarr set to get very high element damage, since from the looks of it alatreon can be staggered with high element damage.

Somehow managed to solo him using sword and Shield, after many many attempts. I didn't think it would be possible!
I have seen videos of SnS solo against alatreon, and the damage is unexpectedly very high, and also congrats for soloing Alatreon with SnS
@@dirgadplays4224 Thanks! Perfect Rush was what S&S has always needed. The final hit can do like 700 for me and each perfect rush goes well over a thousand damage.
Yea thats crazy, i think its even better with frostcraft set on SnS
@@dirgadplays4224 I haven't tried frostcraft on anything except greatsword. I've noticed that single clutch claw attack with great sword deletes all your frostcraft, so I wouldn't think it'd be helpful on fast hitting weapons but I've never tried tbf.
For this, I used AT Namielle again but with the Alatreon S&S and boots. I'm able to get the dragon element over 1000 with element acceleration.
@@FrostyTheCookie you should try it, try the perfect rush with the full frostcraft bar and you will see HUGE damage, there are even speedruner SnS using frostcraft against alatreon, just one hit from the perfect rush could almost fill the health bar to almost full.
How much elemental boost would you recommend putting on a Stygian LS for example?
Stygian LS with elemental boost and safi set could reach 600 or more imho
Hi, great job! Do you think Xeno Cypher + is a good weapon here or is zinogre better? Also, can you recommend alternative armour to safi as I can’t get a group together :(

For xeno cypher is probably better to use stygian gula because there is purple sharpness in stygian, but cypher has only a small white sharpness if im not mistaken, for alternative armor you can still use standard master touch+agitator secret but on the skill you need to put blight res and element atk boost

Yes stygian weapon can do, you only need to boost its element atk and put blight resistance
I'm a GS/Hammer main. Not too good at LS, would Dual Blades work or does it have to be elemental damage to the head?
Also is there a better element to use?
Well its better to hit the head for big damage, but its front leg is also good to attack it since its also weak, but its not really very mandatory to hit head as long you always hit alatreon

No super OP Kjaar weapons
Currently this week safi is here so you can get its armor, or you can use other weapon that has high element, for dragon you can use blackveil vaal hazak or stygian zinogre
Dirgad Plays I have a Safi’Jiva long sword that does 710 element and the set I have increases the attack to 1020 on top of that. Do you think that’s good for alatreon? (Skills: crit eye 7, dragon attack 6, attack 5, crit boost 3, weak ex 3, health boost 3, rec up 2 rec speed 2, and free meal and elder seal boost.)

Keep doing damage to alatreon especially on the head where the damage is a lot bigger to get the special flinch fast, and after it flinch when it use its escaton judgement just use 2 astera jerky and you will survive
Do elemental damage to it. Each phase (fire, ice, dragon) has its own weakness. Apparently you need to do a medium amount of elemental damage to stop an attack its weak to, a TON of elemental damage to stop an attack its normal against, and youre screwed if its the same element as you you'll lose a life almost no matter what.

I tried doing that astera meat trick, but mine is so instant, 1 second after and i died, im using sticky hbg build, do i really need to use elemental weapon??
Yes elemental weapon is needed to get its special stagger to weaken its escaton judgement so you can survive with astera jerky.

What if he change element to same elements as you? You won't be able to break the horns. So you're just have to survive if that happened?
Actually if it changes to dragon active it will do more damage to alatreon

Do you think Safi Dragon LS is good enough? I didn't farm old Kulve so I dont have anything to upgrade.
For safi weapon you need to put element atk up for the awakening to raise the element atk on safi weapon.
I have tried safi no element awakening and i coudn't special stagger it

Yep from my experience fighting it, do alot of element damage till it stagger, the more you stagger it the more weaker its escaton judgement

Bring astera jerky, max potion, mega potion and the battle is very dps check where you need to stagger alatreon before its use Escaton Judgement to reduce the damage taken, and if you manage to stagger it you only need to use 2 astera jerky to survive

Yes you could do stygian sword to replace kjarr decay imho, most important skill is blight resistance since alatreon atk do a lot of dragonblight

Yea gonna give some build im using for solo and for squad
so im using safi fire dual blades with 350 fire element and 75 affinity. we are hitting him a lot in the head and breaking his horns. But still the nova killed us instant. I still dont understand the strategy to fight him.
Head broke doesn't mean it special stagger, its nova became weaker if you manage to stagger(like there is a explosion on its head and immediately fell down)
350 as elemental damage is quite low. Minimum 600 elemental damage is recommended.
What set are you using?

What does rolling immediately after using ancient potion do?
Cancel animation for the ancient potion, so you can immediately move again

Vitality, blight resistance, expert, critical and element atk
Does it matter where u hit it to lower the nova damage?
The best one is to hit the head because its weakness is on the skyswayer horn on the head
is dragon element for db a good choice for soloing?
Good choice as long as you can give enough damage to special stagger him before escaton judgement

How are you supposed to stop his nova from killing you?
Do element damage a lot to alatreon until it stagger(small explosion on its head and then it fall) and after that the damage from the escaton judgement will be a lot weaker and use just 2 astera jerky you will survive the nova

If using fire or ice be careful of element active change, usually by the color of alatreon skin; red-fire, blue-ice, purple-dragon

Dragon ele is probably better because if its in ice active mode it will negate the ice element damage, and yes sadly blast is not really effective tbh..

Hmm for me both is good but for safi weapon you need 1 or 2 element atk up awakening abilities to get its ele atk a bit higher

Nevermind, finally beat him using full AT Namielle except Furious Rajang Boots and the Bone Switch Axe. I'm part of the Alatreon solo club now, and using a bone weapon!
AT namielle is good if you could do constant hit to alatreon, if not well probably the part where it gives evade window is the best one
@@dirgadplays4224 Yeah, it worked amazingly for me because I could keep up the damage with Switch Axe. I only managed to survive two of his Escaton Judgements, but I won on my last life one hit after his final judgement. The timing was crazy! Bone Switch Axe is absolutely amazing.

Boss fight itself is cool but the fact that you literally do tank the judgment with consumables and that's apparently what you're straight up supposed to do judging by the field team leader's "gEt yOuR heAlInG iTeMs rEaDy" is incredibly lame lol. I'm a relatively new player who only got to MR100 today and the best equipment I've got teo/brachy and raging brachy weapons, so it'll be some time before I'm ready for this. Something to look forward to

with the new fatalis weapons an average player can actually barely kill him without getting a single weakened escaton
Yes, thats why its still recommended to use element weapon like kjarr or safi rather using fatalis weapon to fight alatreon
Bro alatreon in my opinion is more annoying/harder than fatalis

You can access the special assignment quest after completing the story of iceborne and do the safi'jiiva recon

It actually depends, ice element is better when its in fire active mode, but if in ice active mode it will not receive the ice dmg, and dragon is probably the safest element to use against alatreon

@@everettmavity4730 for longsword try to foresight(R2+O) alatreon attack, and hit spirit helm breaker when the spirit gauge is lv3(red gauge) and hit its head and front leg
get a third party cotroller with paddles or remap ur button foresight then build a supertank long sword build until u get the feel of it
