Wow I be every Wednesday at my local D&B playing that arcade game today I exchanged 2 full set of cards for 6,000 tickets some technician told me the Garry card drops every 350 cards it's so rare luckily he helped me out by opening the machine to fix when getting stuck and rewarding me with some Garry cards on top for me to grab playing haha
Nice job! That's a good way to get some Gary's! Gotta love the feeling of turning in a ton of completed sets for mad amounts of tickets! Well done!
Spongebob Coin Pusher is my husband's favorite one to play. Our local arcade has it and anytime we go he'll sit there majority of the time playing. It's good for tickets, so no complaints here!

I love spongebob coin pushers mainly because its the only one my local arcade has but they put one Gary in every machine as bait yesterday. I hate it as they know the sides are hardest to drop cards from >.< But good job getting cards :) My favourite is Sandy because she’s badass.

I'm just so happy there are no coin pushers anymore around me in Brazil (had maybe 5 when I was a kid, really loved them), or I'd be completely broke.

Yes! The cards and coins can get stuck under the screws and the pressure causes it to jump! Crazy!! But could lead to some good wins!

My heart sank when I saw where that Gary was, it always seems to be there in the hardest spot to win cards from. I am starting to think D&B puts on there as bait. I am so glad you got it, Ben! As far as fave coin pushers, my new favorite isn't really out yet but I've seen some European videos of the Marvel Infinity War coin pusher. If you haven't seen it yet have a look. I can't wait for it to come to North America and for you and Aune to play it. It really has a lot going on.

Kevin the sea cucumber! Ben, I'm your biggest fan. Did you know that Clancy Brown voices Mr. Krabs? For those who don't know, Clancy Brown played "The Kurgen" in the 1986 Highlander movie.
I have a question regarding codes of conduct and "professional courtesy" used between knowledgeable players:
How is the lurking handled? Has the increase of skilled players and/or the decrease of machines because of the pandemic exacerbated this. This was an issue that was of importance in my careers playing video poker and in the collectibles business.
Lastly, have you ever had a serious run-in with someone? I only ask because I live in New Jersey, and as you might guess, people are a lot more pushy around here.
Ooo those are some fun facts! In this scenario, the guy who was watching me play was watching from a safe distance, and was very respectful! When I finished filming that session he asked a few questions about what I thought of the coin pusher and made the comments about needing to finish up his set. So I was more than happy to offer him the spot to play. I think the lurking situation is going to be worse than normal, because most machines are at "half" capacity so to speak. There are two spongebob coin pushers, but one is closed due to social distancing. We've never had any serious run ins with anyone. We've definitely felt uncomfortable at times by people who have invaded our personal space, watching us play or looking for rare cards. But when Aune is with me she usually gives them the evil eye and they go running! Thanks for your comments and thanks for watching!

We play this at a uk arcade. Its definitely a pain regarding cards stacking on the right and i hate Gary so much lol. 😁 The machine seems really quiet though, was the sound turned down on it? I'd love us to get a, Trek pusher but as its a d and b exclusive its really unlikely.
The sound was turned off! Which I don't mind actually haha! The cards were stacking, but still winable, which was good! But it just seems that you get way more value for your tokens with this machine then the others!
My favorite coin pusher I'd either the Flintstones or the Circus one.
Yes! They are both similar in play style. Quarry quest is definitely my favorite!
i work as a tech for a chain of arcades, we just have this spongebob pusher in our arcade, it appears to be an used model, anyways the trouble we are having is that the coin chute behind the pineapples are NOT registering the coins going thru that channel, only picks it up like 1 time out of 5 coins going thru.. and the major trouble i find to have is that the coins are NOT travelling fast enough from the start goin to the pineapples.. it even happens to be that coins are stacking on that S curved ramp.. so weird, i turned off that side for the time being.. i think it has something to do that the gap where the coin travells thru became to wide if u know what i mean..
For the fav coin pusher question, i am not too sure, i have not played a lot, but i have played the DC coin pusher a lot, and through videos i like a lot of the Japanese coin/medal pushers that look crazy, but i cant ever play those, there is that new Angry Bird one there are some videos of that looks fun, has a bonus game that makes coin towers, and i like those a lot
The new angry Bird coin pusher looks amazing! I've actually played it "online" so not quite the same experience as in person. But even playing online was amazing! It's going to be our favorite coin pusher once we do get to play ... I just know it!

Spongebob is a coin pusher I favour over DC comics. Due to the fact you seem to actually win cards off Spongebob :)
And yeah, you only get tickets from the coins that fall over the edge, same as DC Comics.

Spongebob coin pusher is decent, but the 2-player DC coin pusher (not the 4-player version) is my top pick!
2 player? I think I've seen it, but maybe not??? How different is it from the 4 player?
@@TheArcadeCouple from what I have seen, the chute where the coins come out for the 2-player version tends to be sloped, allowing for a wider spread of coins, allowing for better pushes. The 4-player usually has a chute that points directly in the middle so the only good push zone is in the center (from what I’ve seen).

Only thing I hate about the SpongeBob game that it constantly error out when you go too fast.

Pearl is a lovely lady!
I was watching very carefully.... about every 3rd or 4th token you shot thru the pineapple resulted in NO coins from the machine.... meaning you were essentially robbed of about a quarter of the tokens you put in the machine. Every time you get a token thru the pineapple the machine is supposed to spit out 3 or 4 tokens onto the play field. It usually skipped you every 3rd or 4th time. Just letting you know.
I could be wrong, but I believe that sometimes instead of giving you tokens, it’s possible to win more plays. So those times when the tokens weren’t coming out, I was probably winning bonus plays. Usually it’s one extra shot. I think this will be easier to see in an upcoming video, it’s hard to tell because we don’t have the lights above being filmed.
