Carmen was so ungrateful. George worked at a factory in L.A. providing for a family of four; they definitely were on a budget. Yet he and Angie still managed to find a way to send Carmen to private school, and she just threw it away.
@deadoralivefan12 Yeah, she was bratty during that San Francisco episode. And after both her parents went out of their way to help her get into that private school to give her a better education and keep her safe.
Carmen was such a troubled kid!! However, George , Angie’s parenting dynamic was good!! George was the harsh punishment kind of parent, while Angie was the more understanding and, rational parent best of both worlds!!! To me Angie and George did great jobs as parents!!
@AbsoluteAnna.-du3ux Most of her issues came from her insecurity of not having many real friends on top of her ONLY true friend moving away in season 2. I think that’s why she chose to cover that pain by finding companions with the many guys that she dated that weren’t good for her.
I thought she was super annoying. But there were moments where I felt sorry for her. Like when her best friend (and ONLY friend) moved away during season 1. Afterwards, she had a deep load of trouble finding and keeping any real friends.

Thank God Carmen prevented her Friend from being unwittingly exposed to a 10 year old by spraying perfume in his eye. Too bad CARMEN got into trouble for spraying perfume in Max's eye instead of Max getting into trouble for trying to peep on a girl undressing. 😵💫

Private schools have higher standards, and Carmen was often late, broke the dress code, frequently kissed in public, lied, ran away, and missed her finals. George and Angie were trying to cover for her, so somebody had to hold her accountable.
