My highly religious foster family was the horror story of my life. I am sure they are still considered "good people" in their community. I am pretty sure they are still alive and will probably live good lives. Another reason as to why I don't think "karma" exists, I'm actually almost convinced that if it does exist, it does so in reverse.

Would God ask anyone to sacrifice their child? Surely, the Bible is written by a man not a woman and I am doubtful that such writing or acts inspired by a loving god.
God was testing Abraham by asking him to sacrifice his beloved son, but in the end the only one that sacrificed their one and only son was that same God that you say is unloving. He gave you more than you could ever fathom.
