In this video I explain 2 basic building blocks of JavaScript, which are Variables and Data Types.
I cover JavaScript's 5 data types: Numbers, Strings, Boolean, Array and Object, which I explain with simple examples to understand real life use cases of how these data types are useful in programming. 👩🏻💻
Variables is another very important concept in software development in general. Based on simple use cases you will understand what variables are and why you need them.

Very simple and practical explanations. imo many teachers of programming just show you the surface layer workings of code without getting into the nuts and bolts and how they apply within a website. Nana, you did a good job. I like your video very much. You always address the key concepts and explain them clearly. For Js data type video, I think you may add one more point to mention why no data type declaration (like Java, String name=“Nana”) is needed in Js. I guess It is because of Js interpret language nature.

Thanks 🙏 I plan to make a step-by-step guide creating a real application. e-commerce is a good suggestion, but then it will be more advanced, with payment integration, user authentication etc with backend and DB. Will think of a course outline. Or what level do you have in mind?
I like how you explain why variables and data types are needed in the first place before you explain them. I,however, prefer to call 'object,array..etc' structural types or collection containers .. not data types.

I've just started learning programming little by little by watching videos like this. Some others look like they use only "const" and "let". I know the difference between "const" and "let". But how do you decide when to use "var"???

It's both! whereas String is an explicit data type and Char implicit type in JS.
