Los descendientes (en inglés, The Descendants) es una película dramática de 2011 dirigida, producida y escrita por Alexander Payne, basada en la novela homónima de Kaui Hart Hemmings.Fue presentada en el Festival de Cine de Toronto, Canadá, el 10 de septiembre de 2011.La película ganó dos premios Globo de Oro, en las categorías de mejor película dramática y mejor actor dramático, este último para George Clooney.
Descendientes: The Rise of Red es la próxima película musical de fantasía dirigida por Jennifer Phang a partir de un guión de Dan Frey y Russell Sommer. Producida por Disney Channel , la película es la cuarta de la franquicia Descendientes , siendo un spin-off de las tres películas anteriores. La película debutará el 12 de julio de 2024 en Disney+ y el 9 de agosto de 2024 en Disney Channel
