I don't give a what people think is great or not, but this is a test to the masses. This band is definitely why real bands will never die. They sound like so many things I like, but someone half my age never got to experience - it just shows how relevant bands like Wire, The Fall, The Clash...Fiction is a derivative of a Happy Mondays song, some days, I hear The Godfathers (don't think Shame knows them). It's the raw salt of good music that is bringing us here. Finally.
I saw them ten days ago at some french music festival (which featured The Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Black Angels, Phoenix, Grizzly Bear, Patti Smith, etc...) and they were definitely one of the highlights of the week-end. They have a lot of potential and I can't wait for them to release a second album.
We were standing in a big tent at Bestival watching these fine chaps play their hearts out... before them some other bands had played sets in there , many people were using the tent as a short cut to and from the camp site while glancing at the stage as they walked through.... when SHAME were playing those using the tent as a short cut stopped dead as they glanced at the stage... they were captivated , the small group of already dedicated fans at the front of the stage rapidly expanded... no one was passing through , it was a SHAME they didn't play for longer cos that tent would have filled . We bought tickets for Leicester 02 for 17th November. ... my 56th birthday .... SUPERB BAND !!! so excited! !!
such a shame (no pun intended) that the weather was sooo poor, and that far`nk Carter was playing the same time!! otherwise the audience would've been a lot bigger!!! xx
This guys need a better manager, they should be playing in bigger festivals! they already have great songs and the right attitude, hope to hear them smashing hipster and overrated coachella
alexnffc I was there, it was absolutely pissing it down with rain and it was early afternoon (about 2pm I think.) only people that were bigish fans of the band were there, everyone else was either in there tents or at another stage that had shelter over the top of it 😁😜🤘🤙✌️
and Shame give it 100% as always - they are the hardest working band on Earth - 105 gigs last year and 114 so far this year with another 27 lined up. I'm glad that i've seen 3 of them, including at the Windmill, Brixton last month at a benefit gig for Dale Barclay [keep giving uk.gofundme.com/dale-barclay-brain-cancer-treatment] in front of 150 people.
Controversial opinion probably, but this seems kinda lifeless to me? Tonnes of energy but no substance, and a non-existent vocal with some redeeming guitar parts. Maybe it's a genre I don't understand.
bass is sounding amazing

You're right. No one cares. Now fuck off.
I feel sorry for new bands. Everyone has seen and heard it all before. Nothing is new anymore.
