    Which version are you considering, HeadPLUS vs HeadPLUS Pro, and why?

    Very informative. As a Steadicam Operator, there are many tricks to balance hat come with experience but this was a good assessment of the models.

      I say if you have the need and the budget, go for it. I've had a pretty good experience with the first, so I purchased a second one.

    Shocking that it won’t actually support the weight claim of 10 pounds… they are fairly deceptively hiding the fact that it can in reality only hold up to 10 pounds, provided you can balance the camera.
    Considering it’s not a gimbal… that’s highly unusual to advertise a weight capacity that the motors themselves are sharing that weight capacity with the balance.
    This video saved me the nightmare of picking one up to find that out.

    Thank you for your grear review and explanation!
    I use a BMPCC4K with the HeadPlus. The height is not the problem, but the width.
    The Bracked from the HeadPlus was too narrow. EK sent me for free the bracked of the HeadPlus Pro. I also use the V-Mount Plate for the HeadPlus. So I have a good combination and can also use it with the JibOne.

      @SuprUsrStan Před 4 lety +1

      Interesting. I would have thought the bracket on the regular unit would be enough for the BMPCC4K. I didn’t realize that was so wide. EK support is pretty awesome though.

      @@SuprUsrStan Only for the bmpcc4k the bracked from HeadPlus is ok, but with the focus module, the focus module is too close to the lens so that not enough pressure can be given. In addition, there is more space for the connections. It is so much more convenient.

    Can I use the EOSR N 16_35 Lens on the HEAD PLUS PRO in other words can a lighter combo be used on the heavy Head plus Pro

    Considering this for my GFX 100 for tethered high positions on c-stands - 20' up - Plus seems suitable but your presentation make me think spending more for the Pro might be necessary - curious your thoughts - cheers

    Would you happen to know would the Panasonic AG-CX350 camcorder will work with the Head Plus And Jibone? 4.19 LB. then I have concerns if the Focus Module will fit by the CX350 Camcorder being kinda long

    Is there a way to remote control the head plus pro via cable, for example CAT cable by using the Link port?

    You are supposed to mount c200B which was made for this application or at least remove everything except viewfinder

    Can you please tell me what tripod EVER works with this setup (slider + headplus pro + heavy camera) without rolling the slider at the ends or crashing the tripod all together
    Thank you.

    • @SuprUsrStan
      @SuprUsrStan Před rokem

      Rolling shutter is a result of camera quality. If your camera has bad rolling shutter, it will always have it if you're moving. Tripod crashing means you have a unstable or undersized tripod. You can look at additional sandbag weights that you can hang from the middle of the tripod to help.

    Can you tell me what tripod you use to hold all this weight? I have a full setup with edelkrone like you and I'm struggling to find a tripod that's not a boatload expensive, but one that works great for these products weight?

      You have strongly because you use bad tripod and used slider ! But you u used the jibone v2 the problem gone

    • @flipnap2112
      @flipnap2112 Před rokem

      if youre gonna put anything other than a camera on a tripod you need STURDY tripod. carbon fiber or multi rod heavy duty. especially when things start moving and shifting.

  • @sneakingelephant

    Would an a7C and some long lenses balance on the headplus. I'm worried cause the body is quite light

    • @SuprUsrStan
      @SuprUsrStan Před 2 lety

      I don’t think it’s a problem. There’s a lot of balancing adjustments. You could also get creative with bottom mounts to shift the center of gravity, but I don’t think it’s necessary

  • @flipnap2112
    @flipnap2112 Před rokem

    so with the Pro, and an obviously heavier camera, this all but bars it from being used with the jib1.. which stinks.
