Something odd happened to the footage that we uploaded for you to use with this tutorial. It only contains the frozen frame for the effect but can still be used with motion by creating a new freeze frame to extend the clip, then making a compound clip of it.
You can then follow the tutorial. Sorry for the issue!
Fantastic video. I appreciate the notations at the top left because when I follow along after viewing its easy to go back if I need to rewatch a segment. I appreciate you getting right into the video as well. Great stuff. So glad I saw this in the subreddit!
Thank you very much for your feedback! It takes a lot of time but making those tutorials not only visually appealing but as accessible as possible is essential. We’ll… that and making them empowering for fellow creators.
First video I've watched of yours, and I have subscribed instantly! Thank you for the great tutorial.
Core and Blue at it again with another amazing video!
Thanks again! Really appreciated!
I wasn’t going to bother adding the freeze effect to my character bios in an upcoming video. It’s my first, actually, and the learning curve has been steep and interminable. Between this video and the video about creating templates for the edit page, I’ve changed my mind. Thanks for making my art better ❤
Ok, this is just the sort of thing I've been looking for. Thank you so much. Subscribed!
Thank you! Glad we can help.
I am very glad you found what you were looking for ☺️
You guys are dope.. keep coming with more tutorials. loving them
And keep coming, they will. 😁
Thank you for your support!
This was Epic Core! Thanks for sharing the tutorial!
He rocks 🙃😎
Thanks a lot! It's a simple effect, but you can do some really cool stuff with what is learnt in this video.
Thank you, this is extremely helpful for Davinci Resolve users.
Thank you very much for watching!
Amazing! Subbed!
Very good explained, thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it and thank you very much for watching!
Amazing work 👏
Hey, thank you very much! 🙏🏼
Thank you so much.
Thank you for watching! 🙏🏼
nice thank you!
Very good, i'll be adding this to my skill set soon 👍✌
When I adjust the background saturation the subject also goes black and white
Nice tutorial Bro. Thanks :)
Hey, thank you! Much appreciated!
Coś pięknego jesteście wspaniali KM
Bro your video is good but try to use davinci resolve logo in your thumbnail!
Thanks for the tip! This is something that we are still debating on but it does catch the eye when you are browsing.
@@CoreAndBlue yes it help us viewers to find what we are looking for!
merci mec.
Very very nice guys, thanks a lot for this value..! keep up
Thank you! Very appreciated.
Im trying to follow along with my own clip but after I split the video and do freeze frame and go to the fusion tab. My clip doesnt show up in the preview( even since the play head is on the clip and the clip is selected) do you have any suggestions on what to do?
Yes, DaVinci resolve might not auto-select the proper clip if your are switching to Fusion by clicking on the tab. Right click on the clip and choose to open in Fusion.
This should solve your issue. Let us know if that worked. 😊
can you herlp me. after i put in the color corrector and go to color page to change the saturation so the background of the clip could be black and white its not changing the background, but instead only what i have masked.
Nice, can you please share the fonts you used?
👍👍👍👍
Thank you!
I'm a simple guy, show me something I have not done in DaVinci and I will like and sub
And that’s very much appreciated. Thank you for watching! 😁
Great tutorial! Although I am kinda lazy to do so... lol... Anyways great tutorial!
Thank you whiteberry !
Thank you for watching WhiteBerry!
Can you also share woosh sound? cos I couldn't find this specific one. Thanks in advance
Did not see your comment. 😅 This specific sound was custom made by remixing multiple sounds effects from Epidemic sounds.
That video went by way too first. Very interesting to watch, If I had half of you know how I would be a very happy person. I didn't even know you could do effects like that. I need a master class in them. When are you doing courses?
Thank you! The sky is the li... Oh wait no... There is NO limit!
from 6:47 to 6:50 how do you blend the freeze frame onto the background?? i only can color grading the freeze frame but not the background
Hey, thank you for watching! In this exemple, the background is on a duplicate lower track so you need to select the lower track in the color tab. Everything could also be directly done in Fusion by feeding both clips into a Fusion clip but that would be a little more technical and we will cover that in a future tutorial.
@@CoreAndBlue thank you for answering had the same question appriciate it
@@TomTom-gd7vc Thank you for watching! 🤟🖤
Can someone tell me how is he getting those very thin blue lines on top of his clips in the timeline view. I know they show that clips are being rendered in real time ... but how does one enable that for smooth playback ?
A faster computer you need more ram and memory
why my object is getting black and white not the background
can anyone help
Hey, happy to help. First review your nodes tree to make sure inputs are matching the example in the video. Then, in our version, we use a second duplicate track for the background that is color corrected separately. You can send us a screenshot of your edit and fusion page to our email available in the about tab of our channel for more support.
@@CoreAndBlue thanq for replying
I was doing the color page thing on different node now I corrected myself
Thanq so much
Great tutorial👍
Thank you! Yes, you could very well do everything within 1 fusion clip with 2 MediaIn and 2 colors corrector nodes but this way allows you to easily animate and color grade the foreground and the background separately. Glad you enjoyed !
6:55 - You say to drop Saturation to 0 BUT U did not say that it is necessary to INVERT the mask. When I drop Sat the image inside mask becomes B/W not the surroundings. And I do not know how to invert this. Otherwise if U mean I need to color correct the duplicate clip (the one that was left below on the timeline) pls make a Note in your video as it is absolutely unclear.
Yes I’m having the same issue did you find a fix
@@randomtrendz nope
@@xtAqHNpFg @randomtrendz I figured it out. Go back into the track page where your clips are, click on the bottom original clip (not the one you created all the nodes on) right click and then click 'Open in Fusion' then click on the color tab and desaturate everything to zero. This then affects the unworked clip leaving the one in this video in color. Took me an hour of clicking around and almost gave up!
@@randomtrendz see my reply above, I think I figured it out.
Dude! U R a hero ^)! @@SebastianChow
