VCarve Pro Moulding Toolpath (Revised)

- In this video, we take you through the steps of creating one-of-a-kind moulding using the Moulding Toolpath in Vectric VCarve Pro.
The CNC portions are at 10x speed with much cut out for the sake of viewing time, actual cut time for the moulding was about 4 hours.
Bits used include a 1/16" Ballnose for the moulding and 1/4" Endmill for the cutout.

Can you make a video for carving molding on rectangle rather than just straight line
Question, while I watch your video you have the work piece setup for a width of 25” in the x, although when you cut the piece you are cutting the length in the y? Did you have to re tool path for that direction?
how long time you take for 24” mould to be finished? May i get your advice on how im going to improve the speeding on cnc machine
I cannot get the tabs to appear in the 3D view. I can see the bumps in the toolpath, but not the tabs in the 3D view. Using ver 9.518
Figured it out. I needed to remove the vertical sides from the profile.

Hi, I am trying to do the toolpath, but nothing happens after I select the profile. Is there any specific key that I have to press, or just select them with the mouse?
If I am understanding the question correctly, while in the molding toolpath panel, you want to first select your driverail, hold the shift key and select your profile. The last vector chosen will be used as the profile if you are doing multiple rails. Hope this helps!
I don't recall the tool you used but assume it was a 1/4 ball nose?
For this molding set I actually used a 1/16" ball nose because the small details at the top required it. I have used 1/4" ball nose successfully on molding that is less intricate though. I did use 1/4" end mill for my clearance tool.
