I agree. I can see leaving Alyssa because she's in her senior year and that shouldn't be interrupted especially if she has plans and goals to better herself. Alyssa is also very responsible. But Makayla, Faith, and Karter...they don't have a choice. Upheaval is hard, scary, and sad. But it is sometimes necessary to move fwd. My parents moved me outta the South bronx to Jersey when I was young. I was sad to leave my friends and scared of what was coming next, but thank God they did. Now I respect where I came from and how it taught me to recognize certain ish but I appreciate being shown a different way of life. And now I'm comfortable in any situation, with all types of people. Jazz, I think Makayla more than any of the others would benefit from a new environment.
Some kids do better when they get to reimagine themselves with new goals, new friends, new resources and opportunities, and don’t have to cling to the identity of being the problem child, or class clown. Schools sometimes give kids reputations that precede them. New state. New start. It allows her permission to start fresh with no reputation demanding she continue with poor behavior for the approval of peers, boys, etc.
I know you love to conscious parent and it has great benefits for conscious kids. However I don’t think conscious parenting works for all children, especially not strong willed ones. Please consider taking Makayla with you. It’s for her best (even if her teenage self can’t see it right now).

I would take Makayla with you. We move dat the end of my daughter’s Junior year. Yea you read that right. It was an entire new state my daughter excelled and she did GREAT. Kids are more resilient than we know. She she started school her Senior year and boom Covid… no prom no nothing. Thank God she was able to walk across that stage although only 2 guest she did it. I say this to encourage you that we are the parents and they are the kids regardless of the age. I pray that anyone reading this going through anything with kids , or just life we will all be ok. 😮

Hey jazzy, I hope you find this.. I was once 17 with a baby causing ruckus as a child, shit at 11 I was moving like I was grown. My father and his village helped raise me. My Motha was in and out of prison.
My dads village are my biggest advocates, my prayer warriors and the only ones who believed in me when I couldn’t believe in myself. I mean I was showing out just like ya baby girl, (fighting my own demons)
I carried the shit into my early 20s and my father literally stopped messing with me. Two years we didn’t speak (and I seen him every day) the first year I knew it was real because my daddy ain’t tell me happy birthday. And that’s when I started understanding accountability for my own shit.
I had to realize he had to cut me off for his own peace. But if it wasn’t for the lessons I had to learn ON MY OWN (with the help of them family prayers) I don’t think I would be in the place that I’m in now..
Sometimes you gotta really “let go and let god” she’ll find her way it might not be on our timing but this is her journey just keep praying and god will show her💙 cause the creator definitely showed me I just had to bump my head to get it! Peace, love, strength and healing!
