BARRE CHOIR DONOR TUMOR TUTOR For Strands, I found Spangram first. It took awhile to get the theme words but did not use any hints. I got Connections without any errors; the blue took awhile to name.
Wordle a 5 for me (and could have been a 6 as I pounced on TUTOR not realising JUROR was also a possibilty) so back to earth after back to back lucky 2's. Connections i got blue green yellow in that order couldnt get the beer 😥 Strands was a car crash i used more hints than there are words 🤣 as i needed hints to get the letter order.
WOW!! That was totally impressive!! 🏆🎶 I need to remember your follow-up words for "ADIEU." My Wordle score today was a 4. I solved Strands pretty much as you did with the Spangram first, only slower, and I wasn't even dealing with dogs. It occurred to me that "Mate" could also refer to Chess, only when I saw "chopstick" I knew that it didn't. Still Life art is not my favorite, and although I knew, after the fact, that these were all popular subjects, the thought never crossed my mind. Hats off to your prodigious memory!! I never played Beer Pong, so I couldn't pull out that category either. I kept trying to put the Still Life objects into a "Breakfast Table" mode, and, of course they wouldn't behave, so only a 2 today. On the good side, it won't be difficult to improve my score tomorrow. 😊
STARE TROUT TUTOR (I thought of Art, of course.) Strands: I immediately took it to mean things that come in pairs. First I looked for SOCK because I'm always losing one of my SOCKS in the laundry. Of course, that wasn't one of the words. Neither was PANT (half a pair of PANTS) or GLASS (half a pair of glasses.) But I went on to get all the words without any hints. Connections: Found blue & purple hard to sort out. Made one mistake and couldn't name the beer category. Never heard of a beer garden. Guess I've led a sheltered life. 😄
Today was a a bit of a struggle. 4 in wordle. Strands took a really long time because I refused to use a hint. I was thinking things like lipstick and plumage. Things that attract. Chopstick broke the mold and then it was easy. Connections, oh Connections! I got 1 category fast then burned 3 guesses to get the second. With 8 words and 1 guess left I was sweating it out and confused. I showed the words to my 17 year old. She promptly picks pong, can, and batter. I asked her how are they connected? She says Beer. My 17 year old!! If I didn't know her so well, I'd be worried. Wait til I share rhis with my hubby! I got blue by default.
@chazz, my kiddo isn't quite there yet. I said, whaaaat?!?!? She told me she watches enough TV to know what beer pong is. Lol. I know she hates the taste of hops, so I'm not worried.

The young adults would generally know their beer, especially BEER PONG with those being in college, Andrea. 😂😂😂
